Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with company goals and values
• Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing and interviewing candidates
• Manage the onboarding process and ensure a smooth transition for new hires
• Handle employee relations issues and provide guidance on conflict resolution
• Implement performance management processes, including conducting regular evaluations and providing feedback to employees

AYANA Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Chief Engineering to join our team at AYANA Komodo. In this role, you will assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations at the resort, ensuring efficient operations and the highest level of guest satisfaction. You will work closely with the engineering team and other departments to ensure the smooth running of the property.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the daily operations of the Engineering Department, including maintenance and repairs.
• Oversee the execution of preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity of the resort's infrastructure and equipment.
• Coordinate with other departments to address any engineering-related issues or projects.
• Supervise and provide guidance to the engineering team, ensuring they adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Assist in managing the department budget and resources effectively.
• Maintain and update records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and energy consumption.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technological advancements in the field of engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in engineering or maintenance operations, with previous leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.

The Core Job:

• Configuration, Administration, Maintenance and Troubleshooting of enterprise servers for both Windows and Linux.
• Strong Windows and Linux system administration skills a must.
• Experience with VMWare vCenter administration
• Experience with IT Operations Platforms such as ManageEngine a strong plus
• Experience with any Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure/Huawei/Alibaba) a strong plus
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving server hardware, OS, and network issues working closely with vendors where required.
• Monitoring server and network performance metrics to ensure SLAs are kept
• Forecasting server/network usage taking into account user/application projections.
• Closing any audit issues with respect to server and network
• Experience in Backup Administration utilizing Veam or Cohesity is a strong plus
• Experience in High Availability design from a server and network perspective
• Experience in DRC exercises from server/network and backup perspective

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology or extensive field experience in lieu.
• Extensive hands on experience in Windows/Linux servers administration in an enterprise environment
