About Our Project

Our research project addresses critical Cyber Security problems: 1). growing sophistication of cyber threats, 2). real-time AI powered cyber-attacks, 3). and inadequacy of current cybersecurity technology to counter them effectively. We will address the following research questions:

• What are the most sophisticated and evolving cyber threats that the current cybersecurity mechanisms fail to address, particularly in the context of AI-powered attacks?

• What methods can be developed to proactively identify and counter emerging AI-powered cyber threats before they manifest as cyberattacks?

• How blockchain technology can be effectively integrated with artificial intelligence to enhance real-time threat detection and response in cyber security?

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Assistant who is a Blockchain Specialist to contribute to a cutting-edge research project focused on advancing cybersecurity through the integration of blockchain technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging blockchain solutions to enhance real-time threat detection, response mechanisms, and identity management in the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity.

Key Accountabilities

• Conduct desktop research, literature review, and assist in research paper and report writing.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and analyse all relevant data and provide input into trading strategy for SEA

• Provide, maintain, and update relevant SSEA crop production, consumption and imports of wheat/barley, with an emphasis on demand switches between various commodities (local vs. imported grains, substitution with rice & other feed grains), and on estimates of domestic crops of competing grains in SSEA

• Developing technical knowledge (product, assumptions, regulation, industry trends) and becoming an expert within the Reserving team
• Providing valuation insights of the industry to various teams (e.g. client partners, claims manager)
• Working with the Operation team to define data requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on the production of self-healing cement additive and its applications.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Engineering, Material Science or Chemistry.

• Strong academic standing with several publications in reputable journals.

• Good English speaking and writing skills.

• Strong references from previous supervisors.

• Previous experience in chemical synthesis and analysis, concrete sample preparation, mechanical testing and microstructural characterization (XRD, TGA, FTIR and SEM-EDX).

• Additional experience in UHPC and carbon-based material in concrete would be preferable, but not required.

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow. 

The Research Fellow’s role is primarily to execute project in a multidisciplinary team, aiming to perform experimental measurement and optimization of the transport phenomena between gas and liquid phases and to achieve better conversion and yield of the intended application.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Perform experimental studies on flow reactors

• Provide effective design solutions to optimize the reactor performance

• Develop new methods and techniques for measurement reactor performance

• Perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements

• Prepare manuscripts, reports and presentations

• Guide and train students and junior lab members

• Maintain complete documentation for experimental measurement methods and analysis used

• Regular communications with supervisors on experimental progress and report writing

Job Requirements: 

• PhD degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related field

• Background in process engineering

• Good understanding of the scientific and engineering principles
