Rate of pay: £280 to £300 per day (negotiable DOE)
Contract: 3 month rolling contract

As a Damp & Mould Surveyor, you will play a vital role in identifying and addressing dampness and mould-related issues in properties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive surveys of residential properties to identify and assess damp and mould problems.
• Use appropriate tools and equipment to measure humidity levels, moisture content, and other relevant indicators.
• Inspect ventilation systems, building materials, and structural elements to identify potential causes of dampness and mould growth.
• Assess the severity of the damp and mould issues and provide recommendations for effective remedial actions.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records of survey findings, including photographs and measurements.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and appropriate remediation of identified issues.
• Provide professional advice and guidance to residents, landlords, and property owners regarding damp and mould prevention and control measures.
• Stay updated with industry standards, best practices, and regulations related to dampness and mould control.
Requirements:
• Solid experience as a Damp & Mould Surveyor or a similar role, preferably within a local authority or housing organization.
• In-depth knowledge of dampness and mould-related issues, their causes, and effective remediation techniques.
• Proficient in using dampness and mould detection tools and equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and evaluate complex situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey findings and recommendations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Sound understanding of relevant legislation, building regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in building surveying, environmental health, or a related field are desirable.
