A newly created business office to lead and expand business development and activities in APAC region.

JOB SUMMARY
Energy transition business is one of the highest focuses in accordance with Sojitz’s policy and strategy. The candidate is responsible for business development on energy transition and green transformation business field, such as hydrogen, bioenergy (biogas/biomass), renewable energy, on-site utilities, district cooling and etc., across APAC region. This may include business planning, budgeting, forecasting, business acumen for new business development and opportunities, relationship building and strong negotiation skills.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● To work actively with the business office for new business opportunities and investments.
● To conduct business development meetings and/or activities on energy transition and green transformation business field with customers, partners, subcontractors and other relevant companies and entities.
● To gather necessary information with regards to market intelligence, new investment & business opportunities and preparation of relevant materials on a daily basis.
● To build up business strategies for countries in APAC based on the macroeconomic environment, market & industry trends, political trends, information gathered together with the business office.
● To execute business strategies aligned with corporate and the business office’s policies involving international industry trends, market analysis considerations, and facts to support the Tokyo head quarter’s decisions.
● Logistics coordination and addressing internal and external request.
● Monthly business trips of up to 40% is required. Area of travel within APAC countries where projects / investment opportunities are located, such as Indonesia, India, Australia, Philippines, Vietnam and others.
JOB SPECIFICATION
● Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university, preferably in Business Administration related field. MBA added advantage.
● A minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience of energy transition and green transformation, such as hydrogen, ammonia, bioenergy (biogas/biomass), renewable energy, distributed energy resources, on-site utilities, cooling, heat recovery, energy storage and other relevant energy infrastructure.
● Keen interest in new business field and business development.
● Ability to handle multiple tasks / projects / deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
● Good communication skills, with the ability to engage and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
