The Position

Reporting and working closely with the Group Financial Controller, your primary responsibilities will include overseeing full sets of accounts, financial statements, management accounts, and ensuring the timely closure of accounts. You will engage with stakeholders and the Finance Shared Service team to prepare financial reports, tax reports, statutory reports, and any other required ad-hoc reports. The Person

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Accountancy and have a minimum of 6 years of experience, preferably acquired within a fund management, private equity, or real estate setting. Key Accountabilities

Reporting

• Responsible for monthly, quarterly closing and management and statutory reporting

Audit

• Liaise with auditor to ensure timely submission of statutory report and clarify any audit queries

Tax

• Liase with tax consultant for timely completion of tax filing

• Liase with tax authority for any tax queries and clarification

Qualifications and Experience

Ready to take on a senior-level finance role? If you’re a finance expert with solid experience in steering the financial strategy for a rapidly growing retail scale-up, we would love to speak with you!

You will be responsible in -

• Making sure bookkeeping is in order and adhering to proper accounting standards which includes managing of all invoices, billing, reconciliation related matters.
• Establishing and enforcing proper internal control policies for finance and company assets
• Managing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements which includes submission of monthly reports for key financial metrics analysis, expense and revenue analysis, and P & L for every revenue channels
• Managing statutory reporting, annual audit (internal & external), internal controls, tax compliance, etc
• Analyzing expense trends and identifying savings opportunities
• Managing financial ROI and key metrics for different sales channels
• Managing short term and long term budget planning and forecasting for different departments such as manpower, operations, sales, and so on.
• Manage the tax planning for the company
• Providing insights on cost/revenue structure for competitive companies in the industry and inform business decisions on where to invest next for business success
• Supporting other relevant ad-hoc duties as assigned

You MUST have -

• A Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or any relevant professional qualifications (ACCA/CA)
• At least 5 years of proven experience in a management role in finance, both internally and externally
• Have a strong ownership mentality and able to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

· Manage and prepare invoice to the tenants and monthly statement to the property owners

· Keep track on debt collection and receivables

· Prepare and submit GST every quarter

· Prepare income tax computation

· Manage and process purchase and expenses payments

· Prepare monthly financial closing and reporting, including reconciliation and schedules on a timely manner

· Prepare group consolidation

· Involve in financial statements preparation

· Involve in operational improvement plans and solutions

· Provide relevant support as necessary and other ad-hoc works assigned

Qualifications:

· Degree in accountancy

· Excellent communication and writing skills

· Proactively identify areas of improvement and drive forward solutions

· Highly motivated and hold accountability for tasks assigned
