Job Description

• Develop, implement, and drive compliance of IT General Controls throughout UTAC Organization (multi sites and multi system environment) through corporate policies, processes, standards, procedures, and technologies.
• Ensure compliance for Information Security and IT & SAP Controls as required by UTAC customers and external third-party audit firms.
• Coordinate and support internal & external audits, assessments, and certifications for UTAC, hosting auditors/examiners/testers and arranging documentation, requests, interviews, management responses, remediation plans and requisite tracking and reporting.

The System Administrator will be expected to deliver the IT infrastructure services strategies and to manage infrastructure-related issues which directly or indirectly impact business performance. Key Responsibilities

System Administration

• Perform system administration and maintenance in a heterogeneous environment (production, DR, test) comprising of Sun Solaris servers and Linux-based servers

Requirements for Software Engineer (System):

(a) Responsibilities:

Working with a back-office development team, the candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the software solution for a high volume and performance-intensive back office of an Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system. The ideal candidate must have experience in software modernization, cloud computing, and database development, as well as a strong background in software development and programming languages.

The activities required to be performed shall include the following:

• Gather requirements from stakeholders;

• Design, develop and maintain of the software;

• Prepare and submit deliverables throughout the software development lifecycle, such as Business Rules, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Architecture Documents, Design Specification, Interface Specifications, Source Code, Testing Specification, Operation and Maintenance Manual, Training Manual, and other documents as required by the Authority;

• Assist the Authority with day-to-day application support issues;

• Liaise with users on requirements, design, and testing issues.

b. Qualifications & Requirements:

• Recognized degree in Computer Science, IT, or engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience in software development;

• Gone through at least one full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with experience in producing SDLC documentation;

• Fresh graduates with relevant knowledge and experience in the mentioned technologies are also welcome to apply;

• Experience in analyzing requirements, designing, developing, and delivering complex enterprise applications in Enterprise Java, web, and programming on UNIX Linux, and Windows environments;

• Experience in Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system;

• Experience in Spring Framework and Spring Boot;

• Experience in Cloud Computing, Kubernetes & Dockers, and AWS Services like Amazon ECS Fargate, AWS RDS & Lambda will be an advantage.

• Experience in Software Modernization, Containerization, and Microservices will be an advantage;

• Experience in database design, development and performance tuning;

• Experience in Kafka, MQ, Service Mesh, and Snowflake will be an advantage.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodology and continuous integration will be an advantage;

• Familiarity with EMV and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) will be an advantage;

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Working in a team to design and develop a real-time, reliable and secured e-payment devices that process millions of public transport commuters’ cards daily.

The activities required to be performed shall include the following:

• Requirements gathering.

• Design and develop software applications for embedded devices.

• Implement and optimize communication protocols (e.g.TCP/IP, HTTPS, FTPS/SFTP, MQTT-S) to establish secure and reliable connections between embedded devices and on-premises/cloud platforms.

• Conduct thorough testing, debugging and troubleshooting of embedded devices to identify and resolve issues related to functionality, connectivity, performance and reliability.

• Preparation and submission of deliverables throughout the Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) such as Business Rules, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Architecture

Document, Design Specification, Interface Specifications, Source Codes, Testing Specification, Operation and Maintenance Manual, Training Manual and others documents as required in the SDLC processes.

• Assist day-to-day application support issues.

• Liaise with users on the requirement testing and production issues.

(b) Qualifications & Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant discipline.

• Developed software in at least one full software development lifecycle.

• Experience in writing Requirements Specification, Use Cases, Design Documentation, and designing software using object-oriented software design and UML modeling

• Good knowledge and experience in C++ on embedded platforms (e.g., QNX, Vxworks, Embedded Linux).

• Experience in multi-threading, socket programming, and serial/USB communication.

• At least 5 years’ experience in object-oriented software development.

• Prior experience in the following areas of the Scrum AGILE methodology process is a plus:

o Scrum AGILE methodology process

o Develop and integrate embedded devices with cloud platforms

o Develop and integrate vehicle-side information technology for public transport (ITxPT) services, like GNSS and AVMS services.
