Job title: Service Manager Hours: Monday-Sunday but typically working Monday- Friday, 37.5 hours per week (Participation in management on-call rota required). Location: Redruth, Cornwall Introduction: InHealth sees more than 4 million patients each year and diagnostic imaging is one of the busiest services that we provide. Following the Michael Richards report, in which it was highlighted that diagnostic services should be delivered taking a new approach to provide more accessibility to people in the community away from acute settings, we at InHealth are excited to be partnering with the NHS to develop new Community Diagnostic Centres to support this vison. Following this we are proud to be opening a new Community Diagnostic Centre in Redruth, Cornwall in late Summer 2024. We are now actively recruiting a passionate and dedicated team. Right now, we are looking to recruit a Service Manager who will be the CQC registered manager. You will be responsible for the oversight and day to day running of the facility, ensuring its smooth operation and compliance with all governing bodies. What you will do: As an InHealth Service Manager you will be responsible for service and clinical leadership, operating in accordance with local guidelines and company policies to deliver a service that is aligned to contractual and governance requirements. What you are responsible for: Ensuring the service delivers the highest standard of patient care whilst meeting customers expectations. Ensuring the building is maintained and well kept, clean and in line with IPC standards and all issues surrounding this are escalated to line management. Upholding the requirements of all regulatory standards, holding the position of CQC registered manager, and ensuring you work within the budgets you are responsible for. Managing the rota for the department, ensuring sufficient employee resource availability through effective planning Overseeing all day to day activity across a 7 day service. Responsible for ensuring that staff are recruited, inducted, trained and supported well in line with InHealth policies for Radiography, Respiratory and Phlebotomy. Following a holistic assessment, devise an individualised, evidence-based care programme for each patient, modifying it as required. Be aware of assistive technology and utilise where appropriate. To participate in multi-disciplinary/multi-agency meetings as appropriate, e.g. Gold Standard Framework. Ensure own caseload is planned and prioritised according to service targets and patient need. Ensure patient held records are completed for each visit, and that SystmOne inputting is completed on a daily basis. Demonstrate dexterity and co-ordination when using specialist equipment and fine tools, advanced sensory skills, manual and mobilising skills. Be skilled at intravenous cannulation, IV line management and general phlebotomy, following local policy and guidance Contribute to the requisitioning of supplies and equipment through electronic ordering systems. Ensure informed consent is obtained prior to initiating interventions. Will be exposed to bodily fluids, infected material, blood products on a daily basis, therefore must utilise universal precautions and adhere to infection control policies. Become competent in numerous nursing skills to provide urgent and unplanned response to patients to prevent avoidable admissions to hospital.
