Job title: Cost Engineer

Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: up to £45000 DOE
Location: Wolverhampton/Warrington
Hours of work: 40
Applicants must have the following:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in cost related positions
- Experience using Primavera P6 software (read-only access and reporting)
- Fully conversant in all aspects of Earned Value Analysis (EVA)
- Good understanding of project management principles and processes
- HNC/HND in engineering or similar
- Basic understanding of all project controls (including cost engineering, estimating, change control and risk management)
- Good data manipulation skills, particularly within MS Excel
- Good IT skills (Microsoft, Outlook, P6, MSP, Interface/ Data Warehouse databases)
- Numerical, analytical and organisational skills
- Good spoken and written English
- Experience within the Nuclear Industry or other highly regulated industries essential (e.g., Rail, Highways, Power, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals)
Ideally applicants would also have:
- Degree in engineering or similar subject.
- Visual Basic for Applications
Role information:
- To perform cost management activities on nominated contracts - To own all cost management and control artefacts (e.g., Project Cost Control Tool (PCCT), Cost Reports, Payment Applications, etc.) on behalf of the Project Manager
- Work closely with the project team to accurately report progress and costs
- Ensure that forecasts of data/costs/resources reflect realistic delivery
- Support the PM to ensure they are within the agreed project budgets
