Your new role
As the Senior commercial finance analyst you will support the commercial finance team as well as;

• Business partner Operational teams, with other central departments and external bodies where necessary
• Support decision-making through financial sensitivity analysis, scenario planning and contract remodels

• Complete detailed bottom-up budget and forecasting with budget holders
• Complete management accounting processes at month end including; variance analysis, providing insight that looks beyond the numbers and identifying key performance drivers to inform future plans
• Identify trends andpropose actions, utilising this analysis to drive positive decision making.

You will have:

• Part qualified (ACCAor CIMA)
• Experience of workingin a similar commercial, analytical or management accounts role is required
• ExcellentInterpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills

The role is in Business Facing Finance responsible for managing existing and new financial solutions for our customers across value chain to enable business growth and support on working capital management for all stakeholders. The role gets an exposure on the credit risk management function with large customer base with diverse portfolio and opportunity to work on the risk management initiatives and other key projects. The role will involve regular interactions with customers & commercial team bringing deep understanding of the business dynamics and providing unique solutions to the business each time in the ever changing business environment

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Financial Solutions

• Scale up of the ongoing financial soutions with addition of new dealers in the program
• Collaborate with commercial team for the implementation of the new financial solutions program
• Engage with startups/ fintechs/ banks to bring innovative financial solutions which will drive the business growth and working capital improvement for the organization
• Manage daily & weekly drawdowns of the customer’s channel finance limits
• Seamless process implementation for onboarding, maintenance, drawdown, repayments of the financial solution programs
• Bring meaningful insights through data analysis in form of MIS reports
• Frequent engagement with customers & commercial team to address any queries or requests.
• Strengthen commercial acumen to the business managers by providing Program training, data analytics, customer profitability, customer feedback for the Channel Finance customers

Trade Finance Credit Management               

• Preparation of the working capital forecast vs budget
• Competition benchmarking of quarterly financials, latest development in agri industry
• Support in key automation and global projects
• Customer analysis for change in payment behaviours/ credit bureu score/ external market factors and bring early signals to the divisional team and Country Credit committee
• Inititiatives to reduce Syngenta credit exposure/ DSO through evaluating options for collaterals/ BGs etc.
• Support in projects - Treasury RFP & NACH for the customers
• Customer payment postings for the unallocated items
• Interest on overdues management

You will be instrumental in ensuring we continue to build our pipeline for new rooms across both the UK, Ireland and Germany whilst developing the understanding and specialist skillset of investment appraisal.
Location: Dunstable, hybrid- a minimum of 3 days per week in the office

What you'll do:

Manage our ongoing investment cycle through which new site and extension appraisals progress through.
Lead on large parts of the annual PCR analysis for UK and Germany, building and maintaining the financial models needed to support the analysis
Considering how we can streamline, simplify and improve our ongoing processes to ensure our work remains robust as well as efficient.
Working with teams outside of finance to provide and communicate insight across the business regarding our modelling techniques and outputs.

What we need:

Ideally Part Qualified/Finalist Chartered Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
Strong data analysis skillset ideally with prior financial modelling experience.
Personal drive to own processes and challenge status quo.
Working in a fast paced environment with strong prioritisation skills.
Business partnering non-finance stakeholders with value adding insight.
