Successful candidates will join the Business, Communication and Design (BCD) Cluster (one of five academic clusters in SIT) as members of a team of accomplished experts who are passionate about higher education and deeply involved in industry transformation through applied research programmes.

Faculty in the BCD Cluster undertake funded industry-relevant research, teach courses in Accounting, Air Transport Management, Digital Communications & Integrated Media, and Hospitality Business, as well as supervise industry masters and doctorate students in relevant topics. They are also provided paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or spend time attached with industry.

We will prioritise collegial and team-spirited candidates with either (a) an earned Ph.D. or equivalent from a reputable university with specialisation in any of the above-mentioned areas and some relevant work experience, or (b) extensive industry experience with demonstrated strong technical expertise in the above-mentioned areas.

Space Lion Studios is looking for Assistant Editors to join our dynamic team of post professionals.

Candidates should be highly organised, able to multitask across multiple projects, have excellent time management and communication skills and be strong team players who can collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.

Responsibilities include the management of digital media assets: ingesting and organising camera rushes, sound synchronisation, transcoding and layups, conforming of final edits, mastering, deliverables and archiving.

Successful candidates will get the opportunity to work alongside our team of award-winning editors, delivering all genres of content to international streamers and broadcasters.

Knowledge and experience of post production software, systems and workflows including Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve and ProTools is a distinct advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform end-to-end media preparation for post-production, such as encode, ingest, outgest and housekeeping of all video assets.
• Media traffic management in a centralized editing environment.
• Ensure that the metadata in Production Asset Management system are always optimized.
• Undertake basic editing and compilation of shots.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic technical knowledge, preferably in non-linear editing or Video post-production.
• Preferably able to read Chinese scripts/cue sheets for shots assembly.
• Strong computing skills and the ability to plan and organize work efficiently.
• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to exercise independent judgment, particularly under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work in two shifts (0700 – 1530hr; 1530hr – 2400hr) and alternate between 5 / 6 days work weeks.
• Required to work ad hoc hours and weekends for special and mega programs.
