We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible individual with relevant work experience to oversee the day to day management of the school’s inclusion team. The role will involve working under the guidance of members of the school leadership team, working closely with staff from across the school to play a key role in delivering pastoral and learning support to learners sent to the Inclusion Room (IR) office. In addition, you will receive and supervise learners excluded from, or otherwise not working to, a normal timetable.
You will work to address the needs of learners who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning. You will support individuals and groups of learners to enable access to learning and assist the school’s teachers with the management of learners within the classroom and beyond.
Working closely with our learners you will advise and provide information to enable them to make choices about their own learning/behaviour/attendance, as well as challenging and motivating learners, promoting and reinforcing their self-esteem. A key part of this role is to support learners to access learning using appropriate strategies and resources.
