Position Description: We are looking for an accountant with 2-3 years of working experience with an accounting firm or business, preferably with audit. The ideal candidate would enjoy working in a small team with a dynamic and flexible environment, is independent, willing to learn and adaptable to take on tasks beyond a traditional accounting role within the fund management space.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Portfolio Manager to monitor the portfolio of existing investments and perform regular reporting functions including understanding of annual business plans for assets under management
- Detailed review & analysis of Fund and overseas JV companies management accounts, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting and reviewing relevant contracts
- Analyse and review the NAV for the Funds on monthly, quarterly, half yearly or annually basis
- Assist Finance Manager with quarterly MAS compliance reporting
- Ensure fund accounts in compliant with the relevant accounting standards
- Liaise with external and internal stakeholders (fund administrator, auditor) on matters related to finance, audit and tax
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors to complete annual audits
- Undertake financial modeling, asset/company valuation
- Work closely with Portfolio Manager to develop fund accounting processes and procedures to ensure Fund to comply with MAS regulations
- Ad hoc duties assigned by the Portfolio Manager
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred, relevant work experience will also be considered
- Prior audit experience with 2-3 years of working experiences would be preferred
- Good knowledge of IFRS and Tax Regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
- Detailed, organized and deadline oriented.
- Adaptive to changes and a good problem-solver
- Proficient in Microsoft office, especially Excel, and popular accounting software (i.e. quickbook)
- Able to work independently, and within a team
- Willing to travel
