RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Compliance Executive, Corporate Governance (ESG), he/she will play a pivotal role in implementing and coordinating the Compliance and Governance initiatives and programmes to ensure good governance in the organisation.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of the governance strategies, compliance policies and procedures that align with the organisational objectives and goals, regulatory requirements and industry standards and best practices
- Provide support in design of the data governance and security framework, policies and roadmap
- Implement processes to monitor and improve data governance across various systems
- Collaborate and coordinate with IT team to implement access controls and encryption protocols
- Promote data protection and confidentiality best practices and responsible sharing of data across business functions
- Act as the coordinator and Point of Contact between outsourced vendors to ensure compliance with the organisation's governance policies and data protection regulations. This involves establishing a strong working relationship with the vendors, overseeing data protection activities, and conducting periodic vendor performance reviews
- Implement the communication efforts to increase awareness on governance principles and policies to staff, fostering a culture of compliance awareness and responsibility
- Coordinate the audits to ensure adherence to governance standards including data governance and corrective actions implemented as needed
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices related to governance and incorporate relevant updates into the organization's policies and practices
- Assist in periodic reporting, tracking, managing and analysis of data
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Governance, or a related field. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.
OTHER INFORMATION
Relevant Experience
- 2 years of experience in a compliance or data governance, preferably within the non-profit sector or organizations
- Familiarity with data protection regulations and experience in coordinating with outsourced data protection vendors is highly advantageous

- Strong knowledge of corporate and data governance principles, and regulatory requirements related to non-profit organizations

- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Good stakeholder engagement and management, actively seeking inputs from various stakeholders, and fostering positive relationships with employees and external partners
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills with the capability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven recommendations
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) and data analysis tools
