Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial inspections and assessments of incoming raw materials or components based on established guidelines and detail-oriented control drawings.
• Oversee and update the calibration system for instruments, including all related documentation and procedures.
• Utilize industry-leading methodologies such as Six Sigma and Anova to create and preserve high-quality systems that are reliable and sustainable in manufacturing settings.
• Operate a range of basic tools and machinery, including but not limited to, power screwdrivers, rulers, and soldering equipment.
• Oversee the quality assurance lab's operations and upkeep.
• Assist with both internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO Quality System standards and conducting reviews and approvals of finished products and relevant documentation.
• Provide inspection support coordination for projects, ensuring inspection steps are completed promptly to meet project deadlines.
• Generate necessary Certifications of Analysis/Conformance when needed.
• Fulfill daily targets for quality inspection and meet quality standards.
• Tackle additional tasks as directed by superiors.

Job Description

• Position Title: QA Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer
• Working Location: Serangoon
• Working Hours: 5 days (Monday to Friday, 8.30 AM - 6 PM)
• Salary Package: Basic Salary up to $5,500 + OT + Variable Bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that ISO13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 systems are adequately maintained, and continuous improvements are implemented
• Coordinate with various functions to ensure awareness and understanding of the Quality Management System.
• Plan and coordinate gap analysis exercises and provide advice on bridging the gap
• Manage and oversee quality audits by plan and ensure quality audits findings and recommendations are rectified and implemented
• Apprise management of quality audit findings and corrective actions taken
• Ensure that the procedures and processes prescribed by the Quality Management System are in place and implemented per requirement
• Review the Quality Management System periodically to assess continued suitability and areas of possible improvement
• Arrange for ISO13485, ISO14971 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 awareness training and further refresher training as needed
• Coordinate and plan work of external audit such as Customer, ISO certification and Regulatory bodies
• Ensure that systems and procedures are in compliance with ISO13485, ISO14971, FDA 21CFR Part 820, and GDP requirements
• Mentor / supervise as assigned and ensure timely and accurate completion of quality projects
• Support Plant wide audit/ inspection activities and special projects, as assigned
• Able to travel for suppliers/customers visits
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management or Electronics Engineering
• At least 3 years of working experience in Quality Management Systems, and in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent hands-on knowledge of Quality Management Systems primarily in ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820
• Lead, mentor and facilitate problem-solving and quality improvements
• Establish controls system required in ISO13485 & FDA registered facility
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• FDA Inspection experience preferred

Job Purpose

Checking quality requirements across the Wrights Food Group, ensuring that product is manufacture in line with Factory Product
Specifications, Food Safety, Food Legality, Factory Hygiene Standards. Reporting any NCRs and GMP issues.

Main Duties

* Ensure a safe working environment for all employees, visitors, and contractors, across all facilities, by strict enforcement of
WFG Health and Safety ( H&S ) Policy and by developing a proactive culture to reducing accidents .
* Ensure products are checked against the weight and dimension specifications and report any out of spec issues.
* Taking environmental swabs, air plates, water testing and collecting products, to register and send for micro testing
* Monitor hygiene standards throughout the factory and reporting any issues so that cleaning can be arranged of machinery and /
or areas.
* Carrying out Glass, Plastic, Brittle Plastic, Ceramics and GMP Audit Checks and completing a nonconformance and / or
Engineering Job sheet, where required.
* Working with the New Product Development, assisting in Factory Trials with carrying out weights and taking photos where
required.
* Ensure we are working with up-to-date factory online and packaging specifications.
* Carry out internal audits to the required schedules, ensure all factory paperwork is fully audited and checked before filing
away.
* Where any issues are raised, complete a nonconformance and / or Engineering Job sheet, where required.
* Ensure daily taste panels are collected and carried out.
* Manual temperature checks on all chillers and freezers throughout the factory.
* Ensure internal calibrations are carried out on a daily and weekly basis and report any issues.



Skills and Competencies

* Experienced QA Operative with knowledge of meeting customer product quality. expectations and site accreditation standards.
* Knowledge of Quality Assurance / Food Safety systems.
* Sound numerical and negotiation skills.
* Good level of IT skills (e.g., Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook)
* Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
* Energy, drive, and determination to succeed.

Reporting to the Departmental Manager and working as part of the dedicated Quality Team you will be responsible for maintaining and improving all aspects of the Company's Quality Management Systems & Processes. Through product and process improvements, the Quality Improvement Engineer will be given autonomy to take ownership of systems, products, and processes, whilst ensuring effective communication with all customers, suppliers, and internal colleagues on quality related issues.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have a HND / Degree or 3 years' experience in Automotive or similar Manufacturing environment within a similar Process / Manufacturing role and have the ability to identify problems, find route and implement robust & sustainable solutions to these problems. You will be able to provide quick response to internal & external customers and have knowledge of 8D, FMEA, Control Plan, APQP, PPAP as well as knowledge of IATF 16949 & ISO 9001.
