LOCATION: Edinburgh
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

Through the ongoing development, modernisation and simplification of the shared platforms and services that sit at the heart of the Insurance Pensions and Investments business, the IP&I Foundations platform plays a key role in the realisation of this vision.
The Data & Cloud team work with Solution Architecture and Group Cloud Services to provide IP&I specific cloud expertise, blueprints and Service Reliability Engineering coaching to Platforms to enable their adoption of public and private cloud.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the overall ownership of a single, large, and complex product backlog which may contain many features, journeys, or technology components. This role aims to provide value to customers and collaborators by ensuring the teams focus on addressing the right issues. This involves fostering collaborative and empowered teams that take ownership of outcomes, encouraging innovation, and minimizing risk through data-driven testing and learning.
Support the development of Platform or Lab OKRs and provides product performance and benefits realisation data.
Input into business 4YOP, customer plan and tech roadmap as required
Define and prioritises Platform epics, features and stories which support Product strategy
Shape the overall Product Vision & own the Product roadmap
Accountable for overseeing product change governance, business readiness activities (e.g., training and comms) and ensure change compliance of overall Product
Build a capable leadership team while investing in workforce development
A leader in the Platform with line management responsibilities for more junior Product Owners
Lead a team that deliver quality improvements to the products that supports delivery of the platform OKRs
Collaborate with the Integrator in the development of dependencies across labs and platforms
What you’ll need
Product Ownership - Take ownership for products or product elements, understand how they work and optimise them to better serve the needs of the client, colleague, or bank. Uses storytelling to articulate the product vision and has the ability to manage a backlog and prioritise items appropriately.
Stakeholder Management - Manage and resolve conflicts between stakeholders, and to ensure the right people involved or impacting their work have a joint understanding and expectation of the work, what is happening, the implications and crucially their role in making it successful.
Customer Centricity - Provide an exceptional customer experience, and to resolve customer problems effectively; using a customer first lens to understand and listen to them, supporting their banking needs in a multidisciplinary way.
Coaching & Feedback - Help others learn how to change future professional behaviours and ways of working, by listening and providing positive and motivating advice and guidance, as well as enabling them to reflect and learn from experience.
Agile Mindset - Work with an agile approach and within agile methodologies to drive pace and adaptability in the delivery of value.
