Position: Manager/Senior Manager, Singapore
Overview:
As a Manager (or Senior Manager), you will be an indispensable part of our client services team, leading the day to day functions of various client accounts and working with the team in developing and executing communications strategies and plans for our clients.
We are looking for passionate and creative individuals who have experience in the communications industry, and want to work on their craft to help brands and clients navigate the complex world we live in today.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the team to build the Vero business in Singapore and across ASEAN. This includes leading client work, client counsel, new business development – and, in general, ensuring clients and stakeholders are satisfied with Vero’s work.
Client and account management
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely responses to requests and maintaining professional, positive relationships to foster trust and confidence in the agency’s abilities.
- Advise industry-leading brands, in the realms of sustainability, technology, FMCG, and corporate companies’ strategic communications.
- Build, nurture, and grow client relationships, serving as a trusted resource and advisor.
- Lead and manage multiple integrated communications programs, with the support of senior counsel and junior team members.
- Lead the development of communications strategies for client brands and projects; and translate these strategies into tactical, executional plans, with the support of senior counsel and junior team members.
- Lead the production of high-quality, client-ready deliverables, including but not limited to communications proposals, strategies, and tactical plans, media and influencer relation plans and related content (press releases, feature articles, whitepapers, playbooks, reports, social media posts etc.) with the support of senior counsel and junior team members.
- These include research analysis, PR strategy and execution, media relations, social media and content development and influencer management etc.
- Keep apprised of clients’ brands/products/services and industry developments – understanding key issues facing the client’s industries, and trends.
Business development
- Support Vero’s reputation in Singapore with existing and new client relationships.
- Support new business development, including taking client briefs, challenging them, and developing them into inspiring and informative internal briefs, keeping abreast of new trends and developments, and sharing those with the rest of the team and company regularly.
- Turn ideas into well-rounded, strategically sound, deliverable plans, collaborating with others in the team to encompass audience insights, trend analysis, marketing/media executions, timings, and budgets.
- Support new business pitching process, and ensure timelines and deadlines are met.
Criteria:
- 4 to 7 years of working experience in an agency environment or similar
- Experience (and/or passion) in sustainability is a bonus
- Highly motivated, flexible, reliable, honest, and able to work under pressure
- Structured, detail-oriented, responsible, and independent
- Proven experience in a communications function/role: You are a creative problem-solver, you know how to surround yourself with critical resources and research approaches (on and offline), and you can apply these approaches to uncover breakthrough insights to support our client work
- Experience in leading campaign development, execution and measurement
- Possess in depth media relations in Singapore and the region
- Understanding and hands-on experience in strategising and managing various digital and social media platforms
- Excellent writing skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, multicultural environment
**This is a hybrid role, with some travel required. You will be reporting to Vero's Managing Director in Singapore.
