The Opportunity:

This position is responsible for handling various day-to-day administrative activities and providing support to the management and employees of AgeCare Glenmore. A key role of this position is consistently, appropriately, and effectively demonstrating support for company practices, processes, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide back up and coverage for Reception as needed
• Process accounts receivables and payables; safeguarding all cash balances
• Responsible for admissions, discharges and updating resident information as necessary
• Provide administrative support to the leadership team as required
• Maintain daily census of all residents, including occupants of guest suites
• Maintain stationary and miscellaneous supplies and restock as necessary
• Attend various routine and ad-hoc meetings as required; take and transcribe minutes
• Act as backup to the Office Manager when necessary

Qualifications:

• Prior administrative experience required
• Certificate or diploma in administration and strong Microsoft skills particularly Word and Excel

Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, the Environmental Services Assistant executes routine repairs and carries out minor maintenance operations with a focus on providing superior customer service to our residents.

Core Outcomes

• Completing minor repair work, which includes repairing doors, locks, window screens and blinds, as well as replacing light bulbs, sockets, and switches.
• Performing basic plumbing tasks, which includes unclogging drains as well as fixing leaking faucets and toilets.
• Patching, painting, and caulking.
• Performing regular cleaning duties, which includes sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Maintaining all outdoor areas as well as shoveling snow and ice as required.
• Taking inventory of maintenance supplies and notifying the Supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
• Promptly responding to requests for emergency repairs and clean-ups.
• Ensuring that all maintenance equipment is in good working order.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Knowledge in Joint Occupational Health and Safety regulations aligned with WCB and CCAL Act.

A really exciting opportunity has arisen to shape the future of care delivery in developing a multidisciplinary ADHD diagnostic and intervention service across Mid and South Essex. This service will be aligned to the South Essex Asperger's Service and in future we are looking towards developing a neurodevelopmental service.

We are looking to recruit to this team consisting of nursing, psychiatry, psychology and pharmacy. These posts will be crucial in spanning the clinical delivery of assessment and intervention both pharmacological and psychological for people with suspected or existing ADHD who are not eligible for secondary mental health services.

The post is to support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the ADHD Service across community settings. The assistant psychologist will provide psychological assessment, interventions and clinically related administration under the direct supervision of a qualified psychologist who will retain clinical responsibility for clinical work carried out, provided that the clinical work is within the care plan specified. To participate in audit, service evaluation and/or research and to undertake teaching and project work under the supervision of a qualified psychologist. Specific duties will be determined on the basis of skills and experience and operational service requirements, and may vary occasionally as service needs/priorities change.
• To assist in the development of a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all clients of the service
• To perform other duties appropriate to the grade of assistant psychologist that may be required by their psychology manager.
• To receive weekly supervision from a qualified psychologist within the service in accordance with BPS guidelines and Trust policy.
• To undertake continued professional development in line with BPS recommendations in order to develop skills and competencies that assist in the delivery of current duties.
• To develop and maintain the highest standards of professional practice through an identified programme of continued professional development agreed with line manager.
• To adhere to the professional codes of practice of the Health Professions Council, British Psychological Society and Trust policies and procedures with regards to report writing and clinical record keeping.
• To undergo regular performance appraisal and review with the line manager.
