Requirements:

· Diploma in Legal Studies / Diploma in Law

Job responsibilities:

• Preparing and filing of Singapore and foreign applications for Patent and Trademark/Design
• Preparing and electronically filing PCT applications via ePCT
• Process and draft replies on own initiative on correspondence and legal documents for client and foreign counsel with strict attention to deadlines

• Conducting online searches on Patent and Trademark/Design in IPOS Digital Hub and various other databases
• Assisting with TMT instructions to foreign counsel
• Collating and coordinating foreign counsel advice for review by fee earners
• Managing foreign counsel/agent’s invoices
• Assisting with the IP/TMT team’s business development activities

Job Responsibilities:

- Providing administrative support to one or more lawyers

- Conducting research on legal topics, statutes, regulations, case laws, and other relevant information to support attorneys in their preparation for legal proceedings and case strategies

- Assisting with the drafting, reviewing, and editing of legal documents such as contracts, agreements, pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal correspondence

- Meeting with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to discuss case details

- Assisting with court filings and facilitating the meeting of deadlines by monitoring, maintaining, and updating calendar and providing timely reminders for lawyers

- File and organize legal documents in a timely manner

- Answering calls, taking messages and handling correspondence

- Preparation of invoices and expense reimbursements

- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
