Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking talent for our Information Technology team. We are looking to identify a talented Lead Server Developer that will lead our Distribution Server Development team to work with our business and IT partners to align technology solutions with business needs as we implement new technologies and modernize existing server solutions. This role includes hands-on design, development, and implementation of distribution systems solutions with the following technologies: ANSI/GNU C, PRO*C, UNIX Shell Scripting, C#., .NET, Web Services as well as working with database technologies; FTP utilities, RDMS, Oracle, etc. The role includes project delivery (either directly with hands-on involvement or working with a third party service provider/contractors). Extensive experience (7+ years) implementing solutions with all of the above technologies. Extensive experience supporting or implementing distribution (WMS/WCS) systems is mandatory with at least 7+ years of hands on configuration/development, implementation and support experience. Should have extensive experience in working with the business to understand the requirements, help them translate their needs into a Business Requirement Document and author a BRD, assist in creating test cases and helping them with validation. Also, for larger initiatives, should be capable to work with the business to create a business case/benefits case for such projects.
Key Responsibilities:
STRATEGY:
• Capable to lead the collection, analysis, and development of the IT Application strategies for multiple functional business areas for the Distribution Systems landscape.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT:
• Can act as a liaison and partner between IT and cross-functional (including global initiatives) business areas, providing subject matter expertise.
• Collaborates, evaluates, and makes recommendation, business readiness and implementation of best practice software technology solutions.
OPERATIONS/DELIVERY:
• Facilitates the evaluation, recommendation, business readiness and implementation of best practice software technology solutions.
• Reviews and or develops test cases and participates (validating test cases) during testing
• Manage Service Provider to SLAs and continuous improvement in both production support and application maintenance/enhancements.
• Prioritization of new demand requests; authoring Business Requirements Documents; assisting the business with benefits case for larger projects and/or guiding on-shore off-shore vendors to deliver the same.
• Authoring BRD, assisting the business with benefits case for larger projects.
• Analyzing functionality gaps and developing alternatives.
• Developing / reviewing delivery Project Plans with Service providers.
• Configuration, Unit and Integration testing or reviewing the work done by the service providers to ensure quality.
• Resolution of cross functional issues with different user groups and teams.
• Preparation of functional specifications or review of vendor prepared specifications for quality, accuracy and completeness.
• Provide user training where appropriate.
• Coordination with Super users in resolving the issues that arises during user training.
• Offer assistance to production support team in case any L3 or L4 support is required.
• Provide effective scope and issue management.
• Ability to communicate complex issues and solution alternatives to users.
• Exceptional Communication skills, written and verbal.
TALENT:
