Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $49,800.00 to $102,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. Regulatory Health Consultant

Key Role:

Support the regulatory health portfolio on projects that include areas such as medical device and drug regulation, organizational excellence, strategic planning, regulatory science, program evaluation, and project management. Apply problem-solving skills with a health or life-science background to develop solutions to operational and strategic challenges for federal public health agencies, work with project delivery teams to provide analytical support in the execution of project approaches and development of deliverables and strategic recommendations to drive organizational improvements in business processes, program operations, strategic planning, and decision-making. Perform quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methods to derive insights on client issues, evaluate trends and assess potential solutions, and support the communication of practical solutions to clients in the form of data-driven presentations, briefings, and reports. Apply expertise in health care, public health, or the development of FDA-regulated products including medical devices, specifically with an understanding of regulatory submissions and medical device development. Provide consulting or research and delivery expertise and work in a team-based environment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience working in a scientific, health, or medical device field

• Ability to interact with clients and collaborate with team members

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience working with the FDA

• 1+ years of experience with the health or medical product industries, including research and development, clinical, regulatory, marketing, strategy, operations, manufacturing, or consulting

• 1+ years of experience in strategy or management consulting

• Knowledge of medical product development and regulatory pathways

• Master's degree in Life Science or Engineering

• Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC)

Nurse Consultants are a mission critical occupation for HRSA. These positions are critical in supporting Health Resources and Services Administration's nursing care and treatment for outpatient, specialty clinics, urgent care and/or emergency patients.

As a Nurse Consultant, your major duties and responsibilities include:

• Serving as an expert analyst in developing, monitoring, implementing, and evaluating current or projected complex, interrelated public health programs specifically aimed at improving health care quality in community health centers and networks of community health centers using health information technology.
• Analyzing existing or proposed systems, strategies, services, or other health-related matters for long-rang implementation and administration of large public health programs.
• Providing expert clinical nursing and program perspective in the assessment of polices, projects, and data related to the measurement of quality, legislative, and administrative proposals, and makes recommendations to HHS managers.
• Providing contract or project management or oversight related to the quality of nursing services and health care delivery.
• Consulting with experts in the delivery of nursing services and health care delivery to obtain information or assistance related to issues of concern.
• Preparing issue papers, specifications for regulations, issuances, manuals, and reports to Congress,
  and correspondence for an assigned health policy area, including clinical coverage issues for patient
  care, medical and nursing assessments, and clinical case management.

• Serves as the Quality Directorate’s subject matter expert (SME) in the areas of Healthcare Risk Management, Potentially Compensable Events, Impaired Healthcare Provider Program, Adverse Events, Adverse Actions, Medical Tort, and NDAA claims.
• Plans, implements, manages, oversees, and evaluates a comprehensive Risk Management (RM)Program activity.
• Identifies issues and makes recommendations to reduce the occurrence of potentially compensable events (PCEs) and manage medical malpractice claims against the U.S. Government which are critical to the MTF’s and Market activities.
• Assist Directorate staff and MTF leadership to develop, coordinate, manage and monitor integrated healthcare service lines within the MTF.
• Provides guidance to the Credentialing Committee Function and the Quality Management/Risk Management Committee for Potentially Compensable Event (PCE) review process.
• Recommends and manages related systems for data entry that allow monitoring and tracking of process outcomes of the Risk Management activities.
• Provides consultant services and oversight responsibility of the RM activities for the Medical Center’s inpatient and outpatient areas.

• Provide comprehensive oversight of infection control and prevention.
• Develop the plan of care for assuring that appropriate care, isolation, and infection control techniques are implemented.
• Design, implement, and evaluate infection control interventions to meet hospital requirements and ensure regulatory compliance with Defense Health Agency, State, National and Joint Commission requirements.
• Conduct infection control risk assessment (ICRA) for projects and worksites within hospital.
• Assist in the revision, evaluation, and improvement of the current hospitals infection control policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement infection control procedures that improves and measures the effectiveness of the current infection control program.
• Participate in hospital committees as an Infection Control and Prevention representative to include Patient Safety, Environment of Care, and Infection Control and Prevention council.
• Develop and deliver infection control education for hospital staff, patients, volunteers and visitors.
