RESPONSIBILITIES

- Train and supervise the Front Desk Assistants in all reception and cashiering procedures and assign tasks as necessary.

- Assist with new employee orientation and training and ensure that all Front Desk personnel are advised and trained on all changes in policies and procedures.

WHAT’S THE JOB?

Under the general direction of the Rooms Division Manager, and within the limited of established IHG and local hotel policies and procedures, provides supportive functional assistance to all departments; interact with guests and members of the community. SCOPE

About the role

Duty Engineer

The Duty Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing all engineering operations within the hotel. This includes delegating tasks to subordinates, coordinating engineering activities, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. He/she will ensure compliance with maintenance standards, monitor supplies, and respond to emergency breakdowns. Additionally, the Duty Engineer handles minor projects, ensures systems are well-maintained, and promotes energy conservation measures. The incumbent also conducts inspections, leads daily meetings, and trains subordinates while enforcing hotel policies.

• Oversee delegation of daily tasks to subordinates, aligning with maintenance programs such as Perfect Room Program (PRP) and Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP)

• Develop and execute PMP for engineering equipment/systems including those under Maintenance Contracts, ensuring strict adherence to PMP standards. Monitor and maintain records of preventive maintenance activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Long-Term Planning capability

Contract Procurement and Management

• Planning of repair and preventive maintenance programme/works for M&E systems
• Conduct due diligence study of prevailing market conditions and regulatory requirements fordrafting of maintenance contract requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates for the contracts and work with internal stakeholders to ensurebudget sufficiency
• Start-To-End management of entire quotation/Request for Proposal/Tender process,including but not limited to raising of requisition paperwork, raising of Purchase Order(s),evaluation and recommendation of proposals
• Supervise and ensure that term contractors carry out their works timely, diligently and incompliance with contractual obligations

Cyclical Maintenance/Asset Replacement Works

• Conduct study and propose cyclical replacement of components to maintain the up-time ofthe M&E systems.
• Conduct study and propose replacement of M&E systems, including value engineeringexercises to improve the performance of the M&E systems
• Prepare cost estimates for the works and submission for approval
• Start-To-End management of the entire procurement and project management process forthe works

Execution of Remedial Works

• Conduct investigations and root-cause analysis for services breakdown and recommendimmediate recovery mitigation/resolution actions.Preparation of paperwork, including but not limited to obtain quotations and raising of Purchase Order(s) from service providers to carry out rectification works to the Gallery's satisfaction.

Other Duties

• Plan and execute improvement works and Addition & Alteration WorksPropose annual M&E budget for approval by Head of Department. Monitor & control budgetexpenditures in M&E related works
• Monitors all feedback/ requests by stakeholders such as staff and tenants through emails andensure all these feedback/ requests are promptly responded and attended to by contractorswithin stipulated time frame.
• Monitor and analyse utilities usage to propose ways of energy/water savings.Implement facilities management initiatives that align with the mission, vision and values of theGallery.
• Performs facilities inspections and prepares reports.
• Any other duties assigned by the Head of Department, including possible rotation or attachmentat Singapore Art Museum under SAM Estates team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferably with at least 5 years' experience in managing mission-critical and/or museum facilities
• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
• Independent, meticulous and able to meet tight deadlines
• Must be able to multi-task and manage work priorities in a pro-active and flexible manner
• Collaborate effectively with fellow colleagues and demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills
• Clearly present and articulate ideas to Management, translate feedback into actionable items and follow-up on closure of the items promptly

Job purpose

• To plan and execute two signature festivals of AHL, particularly the literary arts programs within Singapore Writers Festivals (SWF), for delivery with clear outcomes.
• To support the Festival Director and programming team in the programming and delivery of the Singapore International Festival of Arts.
• To support local artists and arts groups in the presentation of their work in both festivals.
• To assist in the management of other AHL projects and events.

Duties and responsibilities

• Work as an integral member of the programming and producing team in the Festivals department, with a focus on literary arts programming.
• Develop and implement quality programmes in line with the programming strategies of AHL to reach out to targeted audiences.
• Manage all administrative and logistical areas of the assigned programme including artist liaison, budgets, contracts and licensing, including obtaining necessary approvals from internal and external parties in a timely fashion.
• Works closely with other AHL departments, in particular with Marketing & Communications to optimise publicity of programmes so as to maximise revenue and attendance, as well as cultivating and maintaining artists/stakeholder relationships.
• Supports Partnership Development to canvas and secure sponsorships for the festival’s programmes. This includes making recommendations for possible grants and funding sources.
• Any other duties as assigned by Deputy Director, Festivals.

Qualifications

Education

• Degree preferably in Arts and/or Social Sciences, or relevant training from arts institutions. A subject concentration in English Literature is an advantage.

Experience

• Preferably 3 Years [For Assistant Manager] or 5 Years [ For Manager] of proven experience in an arts organisation or relevant arts context, demonstrating a strong aptitude/interest for programming
• Involvement (curating and/or programming) in festivals or literary programmes is an advantage

Skills

• Fluent in English, proficiency in a mother tongue language will be an advantage
• A good understanding of budget and project management
• Proficiency in using and applying MS Office at work

Job Description & Requirements

You are responsible for the business performance of the restaurant, as well as maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety.

Plan and analyse restaurant sales levels and profitability
Prepare reports at the end of the shift/week
Create and execute plans for staff development
Accountable for labour and F&B costing matters, including inventory control and conducting bi-monthly stock
