Qualification

• ICSA qualification, ICSA graduates or ICSA finalist.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Other languages will be added advantage.

Responsibilities

• To assist the Company Secretary in secretarial compliance work for public listed company and its group of companies (“Group”) which include preparation of resolutions, maintenance of statutory records and lodgement of requisite statutory returns to the relevant authorities.
• To assist the Company Secretary in Board and Shareholders matters such as organising meetings which include preparing and circulating board papers, reports, minutes, announcements, and follow-up actions based upon the decisions taken by the Board/Shareholders.
• To assist the Company Secretary in advising the Board, Committees and Management on corporate secretarial and corporate governance matters in decision making processes and to disseminate decisions made thereof.
• Coordinate all matters relating to circular to shareholders, annual report and any other requisite documents relating to any corporate exercise and ensure timely submissions/distributions.
• Liaison with advisers, legal counsels and auditors on all corporate exercises of the Group.
• Liaison with share registrar on securities information.
• Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions and related duties as specified by the Board.

• Perform compliance review and assessment to ensure the organization's policies, procedures, and processes are in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements.
• Provide relevant recommendations and action plans on compliance risk control measures through the development, implementation and updating of policies, procedures, and processes.
• Provide expert advice or guidance to relevant stakeholders for new products, systems, or initiatives to be introduced are in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

• Act as a liaison party between the organization and regulators by providing the expected responses and updates.
• Support the Head of Compliance in carrying out his roles and responsibilities.

• Responsible for the timely and accurate submission of relevant regulatory reporting to regulators.
• Monitor and keep abreast on relevant regulatory requirements issued by regulators and ensure it is communicated across the organization.

• Assist in the preparation of compliance reports to the Management and Board Committee on compliance activities and updates for their informed decisions.

Job requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in regulatory compliance role with firm grasp in corporate compliance related matters.
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law or equivalent.
• Relevant certification in Regulatory Compliance or AML/CFT from an accredited organization would be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, particularly in the postal services, logistics, aviation, financial or legal regulatory requirements.
• Experience in developing or driving compliance programs for a regulated entity.
• Critical thinking and analysis with strong attention to detail.
• Significant experience managing engagements with multiple stakeholders.
