About the Role

Our 3D artists play a critical role in giving birth to our characters in 3 dimension form, bringing depth to the life of the Axie universe. In order to excel at this role, you will need a strong ability to learn and to adapt to an ever-changing environment, where team works and collaboration are highly regarded. As a Senior 3D Character Game Artist, your day-to-day will be:

• Responsible for making high-quality characters models and materials by using 3D modeling, texture, mapping, and other techniques based on given concepts.
• Collaborate with animators and team members to create 3D sculpts and assets to meet artistic standards.
• Understand the project design requirements and conceptualize creative ideas and apply texture to the model using various approaches including hand-painting.
• Oversee and optimize the implementation of layout, environment, and interactive objects, including models, textures, and shaders.
• Actively follow-up the projects by researching, discussing, giving feedback, mentoring, proposing quality improvements and optimization for the working process.
• Ensure all models meet design requirements for technical and artistic purposes by troubleshooting the problems, fixing your creations based on feedback and comments.

• Certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field;
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a 3D character artist with a **tough portfolio of previous work and completed projects.
• Understand and have experiences in stylized art with strong working knowledge of industry-standard softwares, including Maya, Blender, Substance Painter and Unity and willingness to remain up-to-date on the latest creative software and hardware.

The Senior Texture Artist is responsible for creating the textures, colors, and organic surface qualities needed in the completion of CG creatures and hard-surface models used in production.

We are looking for a creative who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, production excellence, team-oriented mindset and passion for great filmmaking that define ILM.

On any given day you may partner with Global Art Department teams, and Art Department Management and Production Staff to:
- Execute the desired look of complicated CG models, including complex creatures and/or hard surface models, including ships, real world vehicles and environments.
- Determining various design solutions; provides feedback to other members of the production by attending dailies on a regular basis
- Maintains or exceeds consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work.
- Works closely with Art Directors, Modelers, and look-development TD's in achieving desired look of models

Here are the skills and experience you need to be successful in this role:
- An outstanding and varied aesthetic with the ability to interpret a multitude of creative visions
