Responsibilities:

• Working with and leading team of design engineers
• Recording the progress of works on record drawings
• Ensure all design solutions are affordable and developed within the project budget
• Make sure solution risk is appropriately managed
• Contribute and create design documents
• Ensure sustainable design solutions are completed in accordance with CDM regulations
• Be able to provide design solutions that meet all requirements within the programme systems
• Control, monitor, record design changes to maximise cost efficiency
• Liaise and work alongside the programme manager to agree design costs and timescales
• Deliver the design stage outputs for each project

Requirements of the successful Design Manager include:

• Experience within the Civil Engineering Industry
• HNC or equivalent, ideally in Civil Engineering
• CSCS card
• Professional Experience as a Designer
• Able to create, read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
• Knowledge of technical project delivery
• Delivery driven with the ability to set targets to manage and motivate teams
