Job Summary:

The Trainer supports the Deputy Director of Family Wellness Division (FWD) in executing the organisation’s training programmes both external and internal to MSCS. He/she is responsible for the planning, development, and execution of training programmes.

Applicants must be trained and accredited in Triple P Levels 3 and 4 (Primary Care Triple P & Primary Care Teen Triple P) – for those deployed to conduct Triple P Levels 3 and 4

Key responsibility areas

Programme Delivery

• Work with School Key Personnel, e.g teachers, Allied Educators and Parent Support Groups to engage parents on the importance of improving their parenting skills through the parenting programmes offered and higher parenting needs via Triple P (Positive Parenting Programme) or other evidence-based parenting programmes.
• Deliver evidence-based parenting programmes to parents with higher parenting needs, which may be held on weekends.
• Work with the relevant colleagues in FWD to identify areas for improvement and implement corresponding improvement measures, and for referrals to the required agencies as needed.
• Assess and deliver follow-on support to parents who require additional parenting support.
• Where required, participate in case conferences, where parenting has been identified as an issue and/or an area of intervention.
• Conduct and facilitate other parenting training and workshops provided by FWD where needed.

Programme Development and Management

• Work with the DD/FWD to plan and develop evidence-based training programmes that are aligned with the organisation’s mission and goals
• Conduct research and scanning for suitable programmes to adopt and conduct
• Track and evaluate client satisfaction and effectiveness of training workshops and talks.

Requirements

• Minimally a Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Sociology or a related field preferred
• Trained and accredited in Triple P Levels 3 and 4 (Primary Care Triple P & Primary Care Teen Triple P) – for those deployed to conduct Triple P Levels 3 and 4
• At least 5 years of experience in family life education (for new trainers, to have completed 40 hours of co-training with an accepted FLE trainer)
• Experience in conducting parenting programmes (FEL) (e.g. Positive Parenting Programme, Common Sense Parenting, Signpost)
• Being proficient in another language, either Mandarin, Malay or Tamil for communication with parents not proficient in English
• Hold the Signposts Certificate – for those deployed to conduct Signposts
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to read the audience and build a rapport with them
• Strong communication and facilitation skills
• Mentally resilient
• Service-oriented

Job Description:

1.Support to Trainer to Educate the adults as per SSG requirements for its courses either in-person or using e-learning mode.

2.Conduct non-WSQ technical trainings.
3.Prepare/develop Training Materials for non-WSQ courses as per the latest requirements and control all other properties of training materials.
4.Marketing the training courses by explaining the technical needs to clients and Admin Activites to register th training coordinator.
5.Statistical Analyse the feedback from each candidates for each courses and montior corrective actions to be taken with the trainers.

Job Requirements:

1. Degree / Diploma in Engineering
2. Professional Certifications (AWS-CWI, ASNT NDT Level-II)
3. Computer literate
4. Proficiency in all microsoft tools and other editable tools etc.
