Primary Responsibilities

A journey person's card with a minimum of 42 month apprenticeship rating as a Control Tech OR a two or four year degree in instrumentation, electrical or electronics, OR military experience working in the areas of Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics within the last six years
Required Work Experience and Skills
Four years of industrial experience OR equivalent military experience working in the areas of Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics, within the last six years
Practical knowledge on the operation/use of general hand and power tools, instruments and testing apparatus common to the electrical, electronic and instrumentation fields
Ability to read P&ID's, electrical drawings, blueprints, PLC ladder logic, etc.
Must have knowledge installing, repairing and maintaining instrumentation, automation, electronic, single phase and all aspects of 3-phase electrical equipment throughout a manufacturing environment
Effective calibration/troubleshooting skills
Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally and work in a highly effective team environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and advance several tasks in parallel
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Preferred Experience and Skills
A current level one, two or three CCST designation from ISA
Experience in aseptic or GMP/regulated and bulk chemical manufacturing environment
Ability to work with and troubleshoot computer control equipment, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
Experience in troubleshooting and programming VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
Experience in electrical distributions systems with voltages greater than 600VAC
Knowledge of SAP
Shift

APS-3: Quality Control Inspector I - MaintenanceKBR Government Solutions delivers full life cycle professional and technical solutions that improve operational readiness and drive innovation. Our solutions help ensure mission success on land, air, sea, space and cyberspace for the Department of Defense, intelligence community, NASA, and other federal agencies. KBR’s areas of expertise include engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity.
KBR maintains and manages Army prepositioned stocks at the Army Field Support Battalion - Charleston (AFSBn-CHS) land site and aboard ship to include all logistics and maintenance operations. The KBR APS-3 Program is managed and executed at Goose Creek in support of the Army’s power projection doctrine and resources. The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX) to ensure that unit sets stored aboard marine vessels are configured and maintained at optimal readiness. KBR provides limited maintenance and supply support aboard ship to ensure that equipment sets are maintained in a ready condition for emergency download and issue to operating units at the direction of the US Army. KBR also provides maintenance services and logistical support for other Army programs IAW individual scope of work contract requirements.
This inspector implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations, verifies all phases of a variety of goods, services or operation for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions; ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner, specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished, communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains Quality Control files, and documents results of all inspections.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Quality Control Inspector 1 (Maintenance) is responsible for quality control of the maintenance process, as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), to include all applicable PWS requirements and Army regulations. This encompasses verifying inspections, repairs and services are in accordance with Technical Manual (TM) requirements and specifications, verification of shop level maintenance supply processes are followed (correct parts ordered / parts accountability / unserviceable recoverable and serviceable excess turn-in), records (both paper and electronic system of record) are complete and correct, function and load tests have been completed and passed, and the equipment and supporting records will successfully pass inspection by the government. This inspector participates in final presentation of equipment and documentation to the Government unless directed otherwise by Shop or Quality Management. The QCI 1 will also be responsible to monitor storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials, ensure facility safety compliance and adherence to documented safety processes. Verification techniques and methods consist of but are not limited to visual inspections of equipment, facilities, storage locations and documentation, diagnostic analysis, troubleshooting, vehicle operations, component testing, and utilization of calibrated test equipment.
This inspector champions continuous improvement principles and practices and enforces department and program policies and procedures; will assist in providing statistical data, trend analysis data and current equipment technical data updates to ensure accurate resources are determined in preparation for assigned missions; assists team leads and foremen with coaching and training team members in proper techniques and expected results based on verification inspection trends and observations; provides guidance and recommendations to management, supervisors, leads and employees in regard to meeting quality and safety standards; communicates clearly orally and in writing and works well with all employees and customers to ensure correct information flows consistently.
This inspector will verify the work of Automotive Workers, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Warehouse Specialists, Material Coordinators, Heavy Equipment Mechanics, and Supply Technicians along with providing support to employees in Equipment Records and Parts Specialist (ERPS) skill sets.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Four years directly related work experience with Military Maintenance and/or Logistics and Unit Supply Systems OR certificate of training from vocational school or other recognized source with a major study in automotive maintenance, automotive technology, Logistics, Warehouse Management or other related field and four years directly related private sector work experience.
In lieu of formal course work, a combination of college credits, ASE Certifications, on-the-job training, other formalized training, or experience may be considered.
Basic knowledge of diesel engine and drivetrain fundamentals and electrical troubleshooting.
Must have a demonstrated knowledge of GCSS-Army to include exporting of reports.
Must have a demonstrated knowledge of unit level maintenance supply, to include the recoverable part process, condition codes and turn-in procedures.
Must have knowledge of MMIS (Modification management Information System) and be able to access it to verify reporting of completed safety messages and MWOs.
Knowledge of Military technical manuals and regulations.
Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC) requirements.
Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access.

The Role :
Airbus Protect supports the Airbus Commercial Aircraft Integration
Tests team in Filton. The main tasks to be performed for this position
are:
Act as a Maintenance Focal Point for the Filton test benches, capturing new requirements and working towards continual improvement with the aim to reduce outstanding technical issues
Providing Architecture Design Solutions/ Electrical Component electrical schematics and understanding the language behind it to meet the Requirements of the test bench
Assessing modification requirements from design office/test team and developing a suitable solution

Liaising with the onsite team or external supplier to implement/build the solution

Manage the re-commissioning of the test rig following any maintenance/modification.

Experience required:

The individual shall report to the Site Manager for the project.
You shall be responsible for the preparation, not limited to, of the Project Quality Plan, ITP, Quality Procedures, Inspection Dossiers, Test Certificates and carrying out stage-wise and final inspection activities.

You shall carry out post-test requirements on, but limited to, Bolt, nut, Gaskets and Bolt tightening or torque as per approved procedures, check that the line is complete and ready for test and prepare a punch list of outstanding items.
Ensure final document preparation & review and sign off of all relevant project documents, coordinate with client for the submission of documents as per client requirements.

Role Purpose
To undertake weekly bell testing, emergency lighting testing and other building/compliance related checks and services at pre-determined frequencies and in accordance with a set programme of works.
Key Accountabilities
• Carry out weekly fire alarm bell testing to communal systems in accordance with BS 5839, this includes triggering and resetting fire alarm systems and recording the tests in an onsite log book / electronic recording system (PDA)
• Carry out monthly and annual emergency light testing in our communal areas in accordance with BS 5266 to ensure that all luminaires function as designed. Recording results via electronic recording system (PDA)
• Report any faults or service failures through to the contact centre at the point of identifying.
• Carry out other compliance related services as required and record visits via the PDA. (These additional services could consist of but are not limited to, weekly low usage outlet flushing, site inspections and general building compliance checks).
• Undertake daily vehicle checks, e.g. oil levels, water levels, tyres etc. Clean vehicle inside and outside at least once per week. Ensure vehicle defects are reported in accordance with local procedures and requirements
