Job Scope:

• Synergises with client departments and assigned working committees to identify, kick-start and eventually scale-up integrated learning solutions by leveraging innovative systems, technology, and learning science thorugh conceptualising, prototyping, implementation, and evaluation of projects and trials.

• Develops and implement a comprehensive programme evaluation plan, including the selection and use of appropriate outcome measures.

Job Requirements:

· At least 5 years’ relevant experience in Psychology and Pedogogy within a training entity/learning institution

Job Scope:

a. Provide administrative support for the smooth and effective operations for the Science Lab, including preparing materials and experimental set-ups for science lessons as required by teachers

b. Perform administrative duties including the preparation and verification of documents received relevant to the department, maintaining and updating of stock records, filing and typing relevant documents required for the department.

c. Preparation and stock taking of deskcopies for distribution and collection from teachers.

Job Scope:

Teaching and Learning

· Prepare materials, apparatus and Science labs for the conducting of Science experiments including the hydroponics system (including vertical hydroponics), vermicomposting and mushroom cultivation.

· Assist teachers in science-related activities in the lab during lessons and enrichment lessons if required.

Maintenance

· Ensure that the Science apparatus, equipment, teaching and learning resources are in serviceable conditions including reporting of damages to science level head and head of department.

· Administer the maintenance of the school eco-garden including reporting the conditions of the plants to science level head and head of department.

· Arrange for feeding of fish in pond at eco-garden.

· Administer the maintenance of the Hydroponics system including reporting of damages and faults to science level head and head of department.

· Assist the Science HOD in the monitoring of the inventory for Science apparatus, equipment, teaching and learning resources.

School events

· Assist teachers in preparation of activities for Environmental club and science-related events.

Requirements:

- Full GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level certificate or its equivalent

- Preferably certified in basic First Aid, CPR and AED

- Preferably with relevant work experience in primary school laboratory

Scope of Services:

• Prepare all laboratory equipment, materials and set-ups required for P3 to P6 Science experiments, according to Science laboratory worksheets or resources provided by the Science department;

• Keep track of required lab lessons to ensure that they are carried out by the respective P3 to P6 Science classes; • Suggest alternatives or alterations to laboratory set-ups to improve learning;

• Maintain and perform regular stock-takes of items in the Science laboratory inventory and for the care of learning spaces, and work with the Science department to arrange for timely replacement or procurement of items;

• Ensure neatness and cleanliness of the labs at all times;

• Support Science teachers in facilitating laboratory lessons to ensure a safe and effective learning environment;

• Maintenance and care for the following learning spaces: Eco-ponds & Habitat tanks – Mangrove, Marine, Stick Insect tanks

• Stock-taking of learning materials issued to teachers at start and end of the school year;

• Morning duties as assigned to ensure safety of students;

• Any other ad-hoc duties as requested.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• At least three years’ experience as Science laboratory assistant or technician in a primary / secondary school environment

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in English

• Ability to prepare all resources required for experiments

• Has GCE ‘O’ level qualifications

• Competent use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
