Your new role
We are seeking skilled professionals with experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations across various Supply Chain solution areas. This role is pivotal within the Supply Chain Capability team, requiring a blend of business development, sales origination, and strong client delivery.
As an SAP Senior Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-quality SAP S/4HANA advisory and implementation projects. Your key responsibilities include:

• Providing specialised advice in SAP Supply Chain management, collaborating closely with clients leads to optimising processes and maximising SAP benefits.
• Leading business development and sales initiatives, including bid proposals and contract negotiations with SAP clients.
• Driving the growth of SAP Supply Chain Capability by sharing knowledge, developing thought leadership, and supporting team members' career aspirations.
• Demonstrating functional expertise in the latest SAP Supply Chain solutions and their integration with other SAP modules, including SAP Finance.
• Advising on technical integration of the SAP Supply Chain application with third-party tools and applications.
• Guiding data migration and ensuring data integrity during deployment.
• Leveraging experience from SAP S/4 implementations in manufacturing, consumer packaging, pharmaceuticals, or retail

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of S/4HANA-enabled processes and configuration across various areas, including SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), SAP PPDS, SAP DMC, SAP ME, SAP PEO, SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), SAP Enterprise Asset Management/MRO, SAP Order Management & Fulfilment/AATP/Logistics Execution, SAP Product Lifecycle Management, and SAP Transport Management.
• Proven experience in Engagement/Delivery Management and/or Solution Architecture for large-scale SAP transformation programs.
• Deep understanding of digital trends in the supply chains, such as Industry 4.0, Digital Manufacturing, and SCM Digital Solutions that integrate with SAP.
• Track record of leading bids, proposals, and successful commercial negotiations with clients.
• Effective management of onshore, offshore, and near-shore resources to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Strong client relationship-building skills based on subject expertise and quality of delivery.
• Excellent interpersonal, team-building, organisational, and motivational abilities.
• Proficiency in facilitation, problem-solving, and communication (both written and oral) with client stakeholders and remote development teams.
• Minimum 3 full lifecycle SAP system design, build, and deployment implementations.
• Experience in business analysis, translating requirements into design, and producing high-quality project deliverables.

The role
As a Supply Chain Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC) function is currently undergoing a transformation which will enable the successful candidate to become part of, and shape, a 'best in class' function. In Babcock, everything we do for our customers involves an element of supply chain management. Therefore, our suppliers play a critical role in enabling us to fulfil our commitments and live up to our purpose: 'Create a safe and secure world, together'.

Day to day, you'll report into the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain, Land Training. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading project-based procurement and supply chain activities within a number of specialist contracts in our resilience business, which delivers training and training support to the Emergency Services. This is a truly unique role, working with world-renowned public sector organisations, to deliver on some of their key training objectives.

• Ownership of key supply chain projects which sit outside BAU operational supply chain requirements
• Early engagement with stakeholders to review specifications and develop robust / innovative procurement strategies which outline market conditions, cost and value levers
• Detailed market scanning and analysis to identify suitable supply chain partners
• Collaborating with Operational teams and subject matter experts to build robust statement of requirements and proposed solutions, allowing for effective RFP/RFQ processes
• Securing long-term contractual arrangements with key and strategic suppliers which give the business certainty and contractual protection

This role is full time fixed term contract for 24-weeks working 37.5 hours per week and will be based at our Southwark site with hybrid working from home arrangements.

Essential experience of the Supply Chain Manager:

• Extensive procurement experience from sourcing to contract placement
• Previous experience with contracts, such as Commercial or Contract Management role, or placing contracts with suppliers
• Previous experience in public procurement, public safety or education environment
• Extensive stakeholder management experience
• Supplier performance management experience - improving relationships and focusing on operational delivery

Qualifications for the Supply Chain Manager:

• Full UK Driving Licence

As a Transportation Specialist (Grant Program Manager), you will:

• Serve as the assigned grant Program Modal Coordinator and a Point of Contact in an FHWA-assigned grant program for the Office of the Secretary (as applicable to certain grant programs).
• Engage with FHWA Headquarters units and Division Offices in States with discretionary grant projects, and with senior leadership and key staff.  Oversee a variety of projects. Represent agency views and interests on assigned grant program issues at various levels within and outside of the organization.
• Be responsible for reporting requirements for all phases of FHWA-assigned grant projects.
• Interpret discretionary grant program transportation policies and procedures.
• Analyze proposed regulations or legislation affecting assigned grant program; make recommendations on the agency’s position on the proposals and assess possible impacts on the delivery of FHWA’s grant program; develop plans, policies, guidance, and procedures related to FHWA’s administration of the assigned grant program. Implement the program and work with public and private stakeholders – as appropriate to the role -- to identify program improvement needs and methods for meeting those needs.

The ideal candidate is a mid-career or senior professional with extensive experience in delivering or overseeing transportation programs or projects in accordance with Title 23 requirements, in program management, in the Federal Aid transportation program and in grants administration; possesses strong oral and written communication skills; and has the ability to oversee a variety of projects simultaneously.
