As our APAC Assurance Technology–ETL Lead Developer you’ll use data analytics and automation as a key focus of EY's Assurance practice and an integral part of the audit services we provide to our clients. The APAC Assurance Technology team collaborates with Assurance client facing teams and Global IT to deliver strategic technology solutions for a wide range of clients which include the Data
Delivery program. The program focuses on centralizing the process to request, capture, transfer, transform and prepare client data for analysis and delivery of assurance output and insights.
The APAC Assurance Technology ETL Lead Developer will be supporting the strategic and
operational elements of the data delivery environment across Asia-Pacific.
• Understand the APAC Assurance Data Delivery Program, and strategic business objectives
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and design
scalable and efficient ETL solutions.
• Handle and manage financial data from ERP systems, leveraging knowledge of accounting
principles and industry-specific data requirements.
• Monitor ETL processes, proactively identify and resolve performance issues, and ensure
timely error resolution.
• Identify opportunities for standardization in ETL processes for the APAC Market
• Oversee the end-to-end ETL process, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to
data quality standards.
• Prioritize and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and deliverables.
• Implement and enforce data governance practices to ensure data integrity, security, and
compliance.
• Training team members in the ETL solutions created
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in ETL development, ERP systems,
and data integration technologies
What we’re looking for
Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths,
what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building data pipelines for financial data from ERP
systems.
• Understanding of ERP data, data environments, and databases
• Exposure to cloud-based ERP systems
• Strong problem solver with an analytical mindset and an ability to challenge assumptions and
help bring solutions to life
• Data Blending software experience–Alteryx, Knime, SSIS etc.
• Familiarity with Data visualization tools -Tableau, Spotfire, PowerBi etc. (preferred, not
essential)
• Experience with coding languages such as Python, R and SQL
• Experience in RPA development using tools such as Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere and
UIPath. (preferred, not essential)
• Organized with the ability to managing multiple tasks with conflicting demands and
timeframes.
• Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and present findings to stakeholders
• A strong attention to detail with good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• A flexibility and willingness to learn and ‘get the job done’.
• A good command of English, both written and verbal.
• A dedication to teamwork and an ability to build relationships with staff at all levels in person
and through digital communication (MS Teams).
