Your expertise

The Job

This role's primary focus is the business analysis focused on Transaction Reporting within Regulatory Change. The role will be as a Business Analyst working on the Transformation team within NFRR, Tax and Credit Reporting Operations. The key purpose of the role is to work in tandem with project managers to support deploying change within bank's Non Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR) capability which includes Transaction Reporting.

Responsibilities broadly comprise working with subject matter experts to document requirements or processes on multiple and varied change initiatives which are either regulatory mandated or discretionary in nature.

The extent of the Transformation team's involvement in projects depends on the ownership, nature, scale and complexity of each. For some projects the team manages the initiative from inception through to implementation of the solution. For others, the team is accountable for just part of the project life cycle, such as production of a business case and requirements or co-ordination of user acceptance testing. In delivering a project, the team works closely with the Transaction Reporting Controls Group, Global Markets Operations functions, as well as other stakeholders including the Front Office/COOs, Technology, Finance, Compliance, Legal and Tax.

The APAC TR project portfolio for 2024 and beyond still has some uncertainties regarding scope and timelines, and therefore we would like to build some flexible capacity through this resource to join and cover either business analysis and/or PM related activities depending on work demand.

The Talent

• Significant experience working in business analysis/project management
• Experience gained in Financial Services, especially Global Markets (or Wealth Management)

We're looking for someone like that to join our management team in the Regulatory Transaction Reporting (RTR) function. The RTR function supports the core regulatory reporting obligations in the region, namely ASIC, MAS, HKMA and JFSA conducting Quality Assurance on RTR across the whole APAC region. The role will provide varied challenges due to the nature and complexity of the reporting obligations, involves managing a small sized team and engagement with a large array of other functions & stakeholders within the region and globally.

The main activities and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Effectively leading the Quality Assurance team and processes conducted on core regulatory reporting obligations in the region, namely ASIC, MAS, HKMA and JFSA.
