The RTR function supports the core regulatory reporting obligations in the region, namely ASIC, MAS, HKMA and JFSA conducting Quality Assurance on RTR across the whole APAC region. The role will provide varied challenges due to the nature and complexity of the reporting obligations, involves managing a small sized team and engagement with a large array of other functions & stakeholders within the region and globally.

Position Purpose

• Direct contribution to the Bank’s operational permanent control framework.

Responsibilities

A. L2 AML alerts management:

• Undertake investigation and assessment of Transaction Monitoring alerts escalated by the Level-1 to the L2 Hub in APAC through the CIB automated tools for ML/TF risks in accordance with group policies and regulatory requirements and report/escalate any potential suspicious activity and/or material risk to the relevant local L3 / Head of Financial Security and KYC Compliance in APAC;
• Assist with AML/CTF CIB tools management (incl. deployment and decommission of tools) on behalf of APAC territories included in the L2 Hub as well as ongoing maintenance, e.g. fine tuning of CIB automated AML monitoring tools (Actimize, Quantexa etc.) in APAC;
• Prepare, provide support and coordinate all required reports, updates and dashboard;

• Provide advisory support to senior/regional management, Territory Compliance teams, businesses and functions in the APAC region on complex AML/CTF matters and payment transparency related issues;
• Provide advisory support on AML/CTF aspects on complex TAC/NAC;

SUMMARY

Part of the Global Accounting Shared Services department, the Transaction Assurance Services team serves a critical role in ensuring various high-volume financial transaction streams are completely and accurately recorded. Focused on sales audit, treasury accounting, and reconciliations services, the Transaction Assurance team provides key support to various teams across the enterprise, including Accounting, Treasury, the Field, and Loss Prevention.

The Transaction Assurance team creates business value through three core capabilities:

• Exceptions Research and Resolution
• Data Analysis for Business Insights
• Accounting Excellence

Working under direct supervision, the Transaction Assurance Associate performs various accounting and administrative duties related to transaction reconciliations for sales and other critical business transactions. The primary outcome of this position is to increase profitability through accurate and timely transaction validation and exception handling.

An associate in this position will be proficient in identifying and resolving exceptions and compiling and communicating results for one or more transaction streams. The position requires excellent customer service and timely reporting to management and field. The associate will interact with his/her supervisor several times a week to receive guidance and feedback.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Complete transaction reconciliations accurately and within GameStop’s expected timeframe
• Research and resolve exceptions using available tools, including Blackline, SAP, and POS systems as well as other down-stream systems
• Communicate clearly, concisely, and timely with field personnel to verify exceptions and resolve discrepancies
• Convey issues regarding improper POS transaction procedures to field personnel, when necessary.
• Compile and analyze exceptions trends to deliver reporting and insights to management using Excel
• Assist supervisor with training of new associates, as necessary
• Work closely with supervisor to identify process and system-related issues, simplify processes, reduce costs, and prevent loss; follow up to resolution
• Collaborate within the Transaction Assurance team, assisting with other projects as needed
• Maintain intradepartmental relationships as it pertains to job responsibilities

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A minimum of 4 years work experience may substitute for completed degree.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting-related field
• Experience working within reconciliation and/or sales audit software preferred (e.g., Blackline, Trintech, Aptos)
• Retail industry experience preferred
