We are recruiting a Vehicle Dynamics Simulator Development Engineer for one of our automotive clients based in Cranfield. You will be working for a globally recognised automotive company. This is Initially a 6-month contract but could be extended.
Key Responsibilities of the Vehicle Simulator Engineer:
• Install in-house Driver in the Loop (DIL) simulator.
• Correlate DIL simulator with other regions
• Evaluation of test cases to develop and demonstrate benefits of DIL simulators.
• Manage relevant suppliers to meet cost, quality, and time.
• Provide technical support to other functions where necessary.
• Install and correlate driving simulator.
• Report development status to various levels of company and other regions
• Prepare a report to summarise result of test cases and benefits of DIL simulators to management and other regions.
• Able to work autonomously, manage suppliers and report status to management.
• Ability to develop excellent working relationships and effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Problem solving skill using logical process (Problem Analysis, FTA)
• Willingness to travel globally if required.
Qualifications & Experience for the Vehicle Dynamics Simulator Engineer:
• Degree, Master’s degree or PhD in relevant discipline
• Matlab / Simulink scripts
• Vehicle dynamics simulation tools
• AV simulation [SCANeR]
• CarSim
• Full UK/EU driving license
• Good MS office skills especially excel and PowerPoint
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle dynamics principles
• Experience of vehicle model configuration
• DIL simulator and real-time hardware platform experience
• Experience in vehicle dynamics CAE
• Experience in data analysis and presentation of data in a clear and concise manner
Hours & Pay for the Vehicle Dynamics Simulator Development Engineer:
• Monday to Friday
• 39 hours per week
• £29.60ph equivalent to £60,028
