Duties & Responsibilities:
-Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems including electrical wiring, and controls
-Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with air conditioning systems and make necessary repairs
-Perform regular maintenance on air conditioning systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively
-Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job
-Communicate effectively with customers to explain the work that needs to be done and provide recommendations for future maintenance or repairs
-Follow safety procedures and guidelines when working with air conditioning systems
-Stay up-to-date with industry developments and new technologies to ensure the highest level of service is provided to customers
Qualifications & Experience:
-SPM/Diploma/SKM or equivalent
-Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or vocational school training in air conditioning and refrigeration
-Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an air-conditioner technician
-Knowledge of electrical wiring, controls, and HVAC systems
-Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
-Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
-Excellent communication and customer service skills
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Valid GDL permit

Ensures compliance with Plant Safety rules, OSHA regulations and assists with environmental compliance to the facility. This includes local, state and federal requirements. The Downstream Manufacturing Associate or Technician will actively contribute to the manufacturing and technology transfer projects at the Bionova Scientific Fremont location. As part of the Purification/Manufacturing group, you will have opportunities to work on a wide-ranging set of projects for troubleshooting and investigations, system and workflow implementation, and tech transfers of processes into the GMP manufacturing facility. The role will provide hands-on execution of complex experiments in a team setting. The role will support GMP readiness and manufacturing activities.
