Bedford Borough 16 Plus Supporting Futures Team is recruiting additional Personal Advisors due to the increase in need following the introduction of additional duties to Care Leavers.
We aim to further develop as a service following a grading of Good in the last SIF. We are seeking enthusiastic candidates to join our busy, friendly team and who have a keen interest in working with young people/young adults. As a Personal Advisor you will work with Care Leavers age 18 to 25 years in a statutory capacity, supporting them to successfully transition to adulthood. Pathway Planning enables this work to progress with young people, their families and/or carers to ensure they achieve their aspirations in all aspects of their lives. This will include work with unaccompanied and separated Young People.
You will also undertake Duty alongside Social Work colleagues. You will receive induction and regular supervision, as well as regular training linked to your annual Performance Development Review. You will need a full driving licence and access to a car.
