Our client is one of the world's leading FMCG organization, renowned for its products that have delighted palates worldwide. Currently poised for substantial expansion across the APAC region, they seek a talented FP&A Manager (Sales) to join their dynamic team.
The FP&A Manager plays an important business partnering role with the APAC Commercial Director and Sales team to provide timely insights, drive performance, and deliver accurate financial analyses. This role requires strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively across departments to support decision-making and enhance business performance.
Job Description
The role of FP&A Manager involves collaborating closely with the APAC Commercial Director and the wider Sales team to enhance performance through timely and precise insights. The ideal candidate will confidently engage with senior leadership, influence teams, and engage in detailed work to meet objectives. They must exhibit a knack for solving intricate problems by fostering cross-functional collaboration, conducting thorough analyses, and providing sound business recommendations. This role is pivotal in delivering value-added analyses and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership, as an individual contributor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Proactively engage with internal stakeholders, including the Regional APAC team and the local Sales & Marketing team, to develop accurate financial plans, forecasts, and analyses.
- Collaborate across departments to produce fact-based financial reports that inform decision-making and drive business performance.
- Lead financial activities such as planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Support the development and execution of insights and analytics in collaboration with all commercial stakeholders.
- Assess the effectiveness and return on investment of promotional activities across the customer base, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide analytical insights to various levels of the organization, contributing to business performance assessment.
- Contribute to the execution of transformational projects and new business initiatives across APAC and provide thought leadership for its expansion across international markets.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Finance and a professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA)
- At least 7 years of experience in business and finance, preferably in FMCG - Food industry.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, coupled with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
- Self-motivated team player with a collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively across all organizational levels.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
- Proficient in critical thinking and business partnering, with a track record of building strong internal relationships.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Experience with systems and tools such as SAP (R/3, FICO, BI), and a penchant for identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations.
- Skilled in consolidating complex information into user-friendly formats for stakeholders.
- Regular regional travel is required.
