Job Description:
- Foster collaboration with global logistics and procurement teams to enhance transport provider efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee service providers with independent control and supervision, ensuring adherence to KPIs and implementing necessary process adjustments.
- Engage in Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) with international freight forwarders to drive performance and quality enhancements.
- Manage a control tower operation to streamline service provider management, facilitate multi-carrier engagement, and leverage market rates for ad-hoc services.
- Liaise between internal departments such as Sales & Procurement and service providers to ensure smooth operational coordination.
- Oversee the implementation of process changes that impact service providers, ensuring compliance with change requests.
Tendering of Logistics Services:
- Act as a representative in global Air & Ocean freight tendering, leading data collection, process documentation, and workshop facilitation for logistics services.
- Support warehouse and transportation tendering processes, including negotiations and selection of service providers in collaboration with central procurement.
- Conduct regular benchmarking of regional air and ocean freight rates to ensure competitive pricing.
Project Work:
- Lead continuous improvement projects, identifying and implementing areas of enhancement.
- Initiate cost reduction strategies for warehousing and transport, with a focus on airfreight, to improve sustainability and efficiency.
Requirement
- Min. Diploma / Degree
- Managing 3PL warehouse / freight forwarder, monitor performance through MBR
- Relevant experience in control tower
- Involved in regional / global tender for Air and Ocean freight
- Tendering warehouse and domestic transportation
- Lead CIP projects
- Strong operational backgrounds
- SAP LE module is a must. WM experience is a plus.
