Regional HSSE & Risk Coordinator

Work Dynamics

Contractual compliance HSSE/Risk and auditing support

• Support regional HSSE, Ops Aide and client generated compliance reviews at a site/FM level as required.
• Support inspections and audits to measure compliance with procedures and determine corrective action.
• Support training of facilities management staffs on site to be able to perform their HSSE compliance tasks.
• Support FM teams to identify and close out any non- conformance issues identified across the account.

Client service delivery

• Support consistent service delivery across all sites in line with current facilities management framework.
• As required, maintain minuted HSSE meetings with the client and account staff using teleconference facilities where required.

• Assist with the implement of client and JLL HSSE and EOS policies, practices, and programs at account level.

As part of the Risk and Compliance team, you will be integral in working with relevant stakeholders to support the organization in developing and implementing the overall risk management strategy and related initiatives as well as ensuring compliance to regulations and internal policies.

• Support ‘middle-office’ activities relating to market and credit risks
  
• Credit Risk – Provide effective and sound credit recommendations on credit proposals from Divisions within a specified turnaround time so that well informed decisions are made by approving authorities to minimize the probability of credit losses
  
• Market Risk – Keep abreast of market events and highlight to supervisors any potential threat to portfolio. Performing deals check on trades and monitor counterparty exposure
  
• Assist in the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and other risk related policies and methodologies

Qualifications and Attributes:

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields. Advanced degrees or certifications such as CFA are advantageous.

- Experience Requirements: At least 10 years of relevant risk management experience in sectors such as investment banking, commodities trading, Experience in both credit/counterparty risk and market risk is highly regarded.

- Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, comprehensive knowledge of commodity markets and products, proficiency in risk management software, and the ability to simplify complex data for various audiences.

• Guide internal risk functions and LOBs in adapting internal policies to climate, environmental & social risk considerations

• Develop an external network, including through industry initiatives, to stay informed of the latest climate, environmental & social risk regulatory developments in the region

• Provide education to internal stakeholders and legal entity structures

Required Skillset, capabilities and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Environmental Science, Sustainability, Law, Government, Economics, or International Relations. Master’s degree preferred.

• Knowledge of risk management practices, systems and processes

• 6 plus years including:

+ Experience in Credit or Market Risk Management

+ Experience driving regulatory compliance and governance initiatives, preferably focused on ESG related themes

• Working knowledge of Climate Risk Management

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Robust understanding of how a bank functions, including its key decision-making processes

• Prior experience of working in a bank or equivalent financial institution would be preferred

• Strong leadership abilities and experience delivering high-impact projects across multiple teams

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical solutions

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels

• Familiarity with the regulatory landscape; knowledge and understanding of international regulations and standards; preferably those related to climate, environmental & social risks

• Ability to convey information clearly, accurately and succinctly and draft high-impact presentations and documentation

A self-directed team player in the Risk Management & Compliance department focusing on Compliance and Market Conduct areas in order to maintain a robust risk management and compliance framework within Infinitum Financial Advisory.

Infinitum Financial Advisory is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Income Insurance Limited, Singapore’s top composite insurer, and is licensed and regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Customer Due Diligence (“CDD”) and/or Enhanced CDD assessments escalated from other departments and/or from on-going screening; and conduct transactions monitoring reviews on Anti Money Laundering (“AML”) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (“CFT”), focusing on retail clients.
• Ensure that review and investigation conclusions are adequately and properly documented, and escalated to Management (if required).
• Provide AML/CFT and business advisory to the various departments and be a subject matter expert on the interpretation of policies, procedures and regulations in relation to AML/CFT.
• Maintain, update and enhance the Company’s AML/CFT policy, Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment and procedural manual(s) as required, including the transaction monitoring plan to commensurate with the Company’s business nature, size and level of complexity.
• Conduct compliance training to relevant staff including Representatives (where required).
• Identify compliance issues that require follow up and discuss emerging compliance issues with relevant departments.
• Assist the Head/Manager in investigations and deep-dive reviews when required.
• Assist in the completion of regulatory-driven and providers' Due Diligence questionnaires.
• Assist the Head in the periodic review and update of Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment.
• Assists in the preparation and presentation of selected updates and/or reports to the Management.
• Assist in System UAT testing and to provide feedback on enhancements (where required).
• Stay updated with new relevant regulations and developments impacting the FA industry, including AML/CFT and sanctions laws.
• Undertake any tasks as assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor's degree or above
• At least 3 years Compliance-related experience in financial services/insurance-related industry focused in AML/CFT areas
• Sound technical AML/CFT knowledge and skills, with hands-on experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Certified as an AML specialist with a recognised institution/association (e.g. ACAMS or ICA) will be a plus, but is not mandatory for the role
• Having prior financial advisory experience will be an added advantage
• Must be proficient in MS Office, Excel applications
