Company Background:
A multinational corporation (MNC) with operations in over 20 countries and regions, including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Safety and Quality Management:
- Assist in the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of Food Safety (ISO 22000), Quality (ISO 9001), HACCP, Organic, and Halal Management Systems.
- Support operations to ensure products meet regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the management of critical control points (CCP), operational prerequisite programs (OPRP), and quality control points.
2. Process Improvement and Compliance:
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts using quality control tools to identify underlying causes of non-conformities.
- Contribute to coordinating, controlling, and verifying process improvement initiatives.
- Support periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP, and hygiene requirements.
3. Troubleshooting and Corrective Actions:
- Assist with troubleshooting for production deviations and non-conformances.
- Collaborate with the team to raise Corrective Action Requests (CAR) for addressing non-conformities and customer complaints.
- Participate in quality checks, including incoming raw material inspections, in-process QC checks, and finished product microbiological testing.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and build partnerships with suppliers and customers to address quality and food safety concerns.
- Contribute to training efforts by assisting with GMP, hygiene, HACCP, and Food Safety training for operations and production staff.
- Assist in reviewing QA/QC reports for accuracy and compliance.
5. New Product and Supplier Management:
- Contribute to the evaluation and assessment of raw materials and packaging from new suppliers.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of plant-scale trials for new products, packaging, and equipment.
- Support verification of sensory attributes and shelf life for new and existing products.
Entry Requirements:
- Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in QA/QC within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 22000, ISO 9001), HACCP, and PRPs (e.g., GMP, 5S).
