Responsibilities: Lead partner with GWO Centres of Excellence, supporting the global operations model, building a strong network across GWO and multiple departments within the firm such as Product Control, Compliance, Audit and Technology. Works directly with Singapore Operations team to ensure any operation issues are addressed locally. Gatekeeper for communication between KYC/static data teams and Corporate Loans/Treasury for new and existing Clients, supporting on-boarding and settlement processes. Ensures all locally developed internal controls and procedures are in accordance with established bank policies and procedures and are followed. Partners with technology & product development on business initiatives to enhance client experience or mitigate risk. Analyses and improves processes and procedures with an eye for reducing risk and eliminating repetitive effort. Understands the business needs to assist in the implementation of a sound operational structure in Hong Kong that optimises resources, knowledge, and experience in servicing customers. Oversees end to end process of deposit, withdrawal and safe keep of physical certificates on behalf of clients. This includes monthly reconciliation, processing of stamp duty payment and any registrar related activities. Coordinates any local specific regulatory, audit or business requirements with responsible stakeholders. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned including in Finance and Administration teams. Job description The role is a group finance function in a fast-growing international Investment Management Firm that will be responsible for financial control and leadership of a material segment of the business. You will have the opportunity to lead and drive performance and value for the business. *Responsible for entire business unit accounting operations for pan Asia business. Providing directional leadership to overseas based subsidiary teams to deliver *Balance sheet substantiation, ownership of legal entity control, financial reporting and analysis including review / prepare journal entries for period closing to ensure accounting treatment complies with IFRS *Prepare financial statements for audit based on IFRS and coordinate annual audit and tax filing *Prepare management reports and account closing information including cost allocations, detailed financial analysis, variance analysis, costs analysis, etc *Prepare budget and forecast for business units and group cost centres and analyse financial and operational results *Liquidity management: prepare cashflow forecast, manage cash flows such as funding for operations, collection of fees receivables, intercompany fund transfers.
