DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keeps himself/herself well informed about products (lodging, catering and other facilities).
- Sets, in conjunction with the Director of Sales, the current rates of the hotel.
- Closely observes matters about the competition (site, prices, services offered regularly, quarterly or more often as needed).
- Implements policies and procedures as directed by the Director of Sales.
- Forecasts future travel patterns and provide trade feedback to the management.
- Monitors and supervises his/her team’s production and activities.
- Identifies business potential and maintains close contact with former and potential clients through personal visits, phone calls and correspondence because of entering into contracts with them, especially with corporate accounts.
- Accomplishes goals and adheres to quota as set out in the marketing plan.
- Ensures that the sales team meets clients’ requirements and that the client service offered corresponds effectively to their requests. In the event of complaints made by clients, should the need arise, to avail him/herself as mediator between the hotel and clients & guests.
- Ensures the availability of after-sales services and, in particular, concerns him/herself with clients who have registered complaints.
- Draws up together with the sales team, sales promotions and packages.
- Enters negotiations on behalf of the company as and when required to do so taking care not to exceed the limit of his/her authority.
- Establishes regular contact with major associations and government departments that specialize in corporate business.
- Confirms verbal proposals in writing.
- Maintains regular contact with his/her clients and reports any adverse comments to the management for rectification.
- Be aware at all times of the hotel’s special program/promotions and advertising schedule it to deal knowledgeably with clients.
- Maximises Accor hotels' market share within his/her area/territory.
- Entertains supporting and prospective clients when necessary to maintain or develop a long-lasting and growing relationship.
- Organises and attends trade shows when requested.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in any discipline.
- Min 3 years as Senior Sales Manager or 2 years in a similar position.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good Service Orientation
- Attentive and meticulous
- Able to work under pressure to serve customers quickly and efficiently.
