This position is located in the U.S. Naval Medical Research Center-Asia (NMRC-A), Financial Management (FM) Department in Singapore. The FM Department is responsible for financial management support to include budget, accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, payroll, and travel. This position supports the NMRC-A FM Department through performing financial management related work such as financial analysis, accounting, payroll, processing travel authorizations and vouchers.

This position performs financial and accounting maintenance and financial and accounting support work requiring access and use of financial and accounting systems, familiarity with financial and accounting policies and procedures to examine, verify and reconcile accounts, and to prepare and analyze reports. Financial and accounting work requires the knowledge of standard financial and accounting codes, classifications and terminology, the ability to apply various financial and accounting methods and techniques, and must have knowledge and experience using financial reporting systems and travel systems.

Requirements:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Finance Ops Analyst will play a key role in the Finance team to deliver the full spectrum of professional accounting and finance activities to Woh Hup (WH) Group of companies. The ideal candidate should have:

Finance professional qualification and SAP knowledge preferred. Exposure to Treasury and Tax will be useful.
• Confident in managing large and complex data sets in Excel and in a wider digital environment. Continuously learning new and better ways to manage and analyze data to support business outcomes.

This position requires you be willing and able to go onsite to our client location in the Washington DC area when occasionally required.

More About the Role

In this role you will

Develop subject matter expertise for assigned systems and related business processes.

Work with other business systems analysts to define and document system requirements and future capabilities.

Translate business requirements into detailed user, functional, and systems requirements that will be coded by the developers

Test new software and software changes to ensure implementation meets specifications/requirements and customer expectations.

Find and log systems defects, including steps required to repeat, and track defects to closure.

Troubleshoot the system to determine the source of systems errors.

Assist in the preparation of contract deliverable documentation.

Support the client during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) or production if required.

 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience

4+ years software development functional support experience (i.e. systems analysis, requirements documentation, testing, training, user support, operations support)

 Experience supporting DOD financial management systems development

 Must be willing and able to provide onsite client site support within the Washington DC geographic area if required

 Must have minimum current DoD Secret clearance

 Must be US Citizen

 

 

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

 Experience supporting DOD budget formulation

 Experience with Agile scrum development

$66,100 - $135,600
