OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB :

• Responsible in ensuring products quality meet customer’s requirements and liaison with vendor on matters related to quality. Monitor and maintain monitoring and measuring equipments in the company to ensure periodic calibration / verification is conducted.

MAIN ACTIVITIES/ TASKS:

• Liaise and work with vendor on matters pertaining for quality for quality improvements.
• Involvement in process improvements as and when required.
• Ensure that products are inspected on time to ensure on time delivery to customers.
• Ensure that company’s monitoring and measuring equipments are sent for calibration timely.
• Generate incoming and delivery yield report.
• File and maintain all quality records systematically.
• Carry out 5S activities daily.
• Assist and carry out assignment assigned by Operation Manager / Superior as and when required.

WORKING REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum NTC 2 or equivalent with minimum 2 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge in interpreting mechanical drawings.
• Computer literate.
• Possess ability to communicate and write in English and Malay.
• Ability to use the measuring and test equipments / tools.
• Possess some knowledge in basic QC tools.
• Possessed self driven positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently.

As a Quality Assurance Manager in food manufacturing, your role is critical in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of food products throughout the production process. You will lead efforts to establish and maintain robust quality management systems, implement food safety protocols, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to uphold the highest standards of product quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Food Safety and Compliance:Develop, implement, and maintain food safety programs (FSSC and BRC)
   Ensure compliance with relevant food safety standards, such as those set by the SFA, and other regulatory agencies.
   Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with food safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
   
2. Quality Management System (QMS) Development:Establish and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) tailored to the specific needs of food manufacturing operations.
   Define quality policies, procedures, and specifications for raw materials, in-process production, and finished products.
   Implement document control systems to manage quality documentation and ensure version control and accessibility.
   
3. Supplier Quality Assurance:Develop and maintain supplier quality assurance programs to ensure the safety and quality of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials.
   Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with food safety standards and specifications.
   Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to address supplier-related quality issues and drive supplier improvement initiatives.
   
4. Product Quality Control:Establish quality control processes and inspection protocols for incoming materials, production processes, and finished products.
   Conduct regular product quality inspections and sensory evaluations to verify adherence to specifications and standards.
   Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address deviations and non-conformances identified during quality inspections.
   
5. Training and Continuous Improvement:Provide training to employees on food safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
   Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance food safety, product quality, and operational efficiency.
   Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
   

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field; advanced degree or certification in food safety (e.g., Certified Food Safety Professional) is desirable.
• Proven experience in quality assurance or food safety roles within the food manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and best practices
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, including sanitation, hygiene, and allergen control.
• Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 22000, SQF, BRC) and auditing practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

2. Candidate with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in the F&B manufacturing industry and minimum of 2 years managing a team.
