Job Purpose:

You will conduct and organise maintenance of our client's electrical network and assets, whilst ensuring that there is no unplanned disruption to the electricity supply. You will help manage engineering and craft resource to ensure maintenance activities are undertaken in a safe and efficient manner.

The Commercial Buildings Team holds responsibility for the control, operation and maintenance of High and Low voltage electrical networks at multiple sites. These sites are primarily on the Canary Wharf Estate.

You will be at the operational heart of this arrangement, and hold responsibility for operational and maintenance duties, including Management responsibility for staff, contractors and network assets / maintenance.

You will report into the Client Delivery Manager and manage the daily operational work. In delivering the Operation & Maintenance activities. You must ensure accurate records are maintained and prepared for the clients to demonstrate auditable compliance against commercial contracts.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Undertake and planning of maintenance of the Commercial Buildings HV/LV networks to meet scheduled targets.
• Produce an annual maintenance plan for acceptance by relevant building management.
• Ensure all work is undertaken following UKPN procedures for health, safety, quality, environmental and welfare.
• Deliver (and comply with) safety related audits and actions
• Maintain security of our client's electrical supplies

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Tasks includes –


Maintain and develop the maintenance reporting procedure to ensure that Hotel defects are reported, recorded and repaired as quickly as possible
Lead a daily schedule for the hotel maintenance team in response to guest feedback, general hotel requirements from The General Manager and department requests in accordance with the preventative maintenance plan



Responsible for all Hotel’s on-site contractor activity ensuring they all comply with H&S.
Assists in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
Establish and manage an effective room maintenance program.
Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.



Develop, implement and manage all health and safety policies, including raising awareness within the Hotels and issuing all permits to work.
Ensure statutory compliance checks are carried out in accordance with current legislation and company policy, in a timely manner and that findings are recorded in the appropriate place and any necessary action taken.
Ensure all equipment are maintained in good working order and all necessary checks are regularly completed.
Carry out training as necessary to ensure all staff work safely, and to the required company standard.
To identify and report hazards and maintenance requirements.
Carry out regular checks on work to help illustrate an improvement in the quality and finish of the Hotels.
Ensure that any subcontractor on-site works to the required standard, completes all the necessary paperwork and completes the job to the specification set out.
Maintain continued improvement in the Environmental performance of Hotels and monitor.
Ensure materials are kept safe, accounted for, and also ensure a base stock of certain items is at hand to make speedy repairs.
To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety, Licensing and Employment Law, and water hygiene to ensure that members of the Team are also aware of these requirements.
Maintain stock control and process orders
Be part of the escalation process and be available to attend emergencies when necessary
Develop and maintain relationships with our preferred suppliers to drive quality.
Undertake mains repairs in a timely and efficient manner minimising disruption to guests

• Evaluate, analyze, plan, and coordinate with the General Services Administration the comprehensive management programs for the alteration, repair, office services and improvement of DOE leased facilities in the Washington, D.C. area.
• Performs contract administration and Contract Officer Representative (COR) responsibilities relating to improvements and alterations of the facilities and the Department's term contract agreements.

This role requires a hands-on Maintenance Manager who has experience working in a busy hotel environment.

We are looking for our Maintenance Manage who will:

• Be responsible for the overall engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel


• Ensure that all training needs for team members are identified, processed promptly, and undertaken at an appropriate time


• Carry out routine spot checks of equipment


• Ensure that the engineering provision is delivered and meets the departmental objectives


• Promote a helpful and professional image to guests and other team members by responding with full and positive cooperation to requests received


• Manage requests promptly, helpfully, politely and with a caring attitude


• Have experience leading a large maintenance team


• Be hands-on and strong with stakeholder management


• Have previous experience as Maintenance Manager in a hotel with more than 500 bedrooms

Summary
We are looking for a Portfolio Facilities Manager for South East Wales, leading the Facilities teams at Dyffryn Gardens and Tredegar House. You’ll be responsible for the facilities management and compliance across the properties, and play a key role in our ongoing conservation and maintenance projects. You’ll work collaboratively with our wider team and Consultancy staff to ensure the safe, sustainable and effective operation of the properties.

What you'll be doing
You’ll be responsible for managing an efficient, effective and flexible facilities management service across the portfolio, ensuring the highest standards are delivered. You’ll work with colleagues to deliver high quality presentation across the visitor journey. You’ll oversee the provision of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, and project manage some elements of works being delivered on the sites. You’ll play a key role in some of our projects across the portfolio, including involvement with Dyffryn House and fire safety works at both properties.

We are committed to improving our environmental performance, and you’ll manage the portfolio in accordance with our conservation principles, taking the lead on environmental management issues, and proactively seeking for ways to improve.

Reporting to our Property Operations Manager, you’ll be managing the two properties’ Facilities teams, made up of staff and volunteers.

This role includes Duty Management, with the expectation of some weekend and evening working.
