OVERVIEW

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide professional and effective administrative support to CPAS’ training arm, Learning, Development and Consultancy (LDC) and HR’s Learning and Development. Care Corner Learning and Special Needs Support is looking to expand our focus from just educational therapy to providing wholistic support for children with learning and special needs. We are seeking a Specialist with a passion to support children with learning and special needs. This individual would ideally have experience teaching children individually or in small group sizes, open to working from different locations and keen to teach children in our own Intervention Programme.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach English and Math to children (age 5 to 12) with learning difficulties/disabilities.

The Office of Business Development and Industry Engagement (OBI) is looking for a suitable candidate to provide admin support and be part of the team in the research translation journey of bringing GIS’ research to industry. The candidate will play an active role in liaising with our research collaborators/partners. The candidate shall demonstrate keen business acumen by understanding the collaborators’ technical requirements and coordinating internally with the various stakeholders to deliver viable business solutions.

1. Lead and organise legal documentation (i.e. NDA, MTA, RCA, etc) drafting, review, discussion, and negotiations with collaborators in accordance with A*STAR’s guidelines
2. Develop a network of institutional relationships with the industry, academic institutions, clinical communities and government agencies
3. Create and identify strategic collaborative partnerships with potential industrial collaborators to introduce GIS’ capabilities.
4. Plan, coordinate, organise and host meetings/symposia/visits/trips – locally and overseas
5. Develop sustainable relationships with new and existing partners throughout the lifecycle
6. Work with various A*STAR stakeholders to manage various business development/research partnership processes
7. Create, support, track and measure all engagements with assigned partners/collaborators
8. Under IP management and TDs, the candidate will liaise with PIs on Technology Disclosures and ETPL IP filing and participate in lab notebooks audit with other team members
9. Assist with other ad-hoc duties

Job Requirements:

1. Degree in scientific discipline or Diploma holder with relevant experience of 5 years
2. 1-2 years of industry or research experience
3. Well versed in written, communication, organisational and administrative skills
4. Customer-oriented and a team player
5. Resourcefulness and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Scientific Officer & Head of R&D to lead our Research and Development department. • Minimum of 10 years of experience in scientific research and development, with a proven track record of leading successful R&D initiatives.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of scientists and researchers.
• Excellent knowledge of scientific methodologies, experimental design, and data analysis techniques.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for planning, developing, delivering and evaluating appropriate individualized educational services, learning programmes and instructions for special needs students in both self-contained and integrated settings in consultation with other school personnel.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor effective teaching & learning pedagogies, intervention strategies for students with Special Education Needs (SEN)
• Design and implement valid and reliable modes of assessment to evaluate students’ progress and development.
• Identify and design support structures to students with SEN
• Work with school leaders and management team to plan and implement school-wide educational and recreational programmes
• Collaborate and consult with allied professionals, parents/caregivers and external agencies to ensure quality support and well-being of students

• Participate in parents' evenings and school-wide training events to promote home-school partnership.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/ Degree from recognised Institutions with GCE ‘O’ level credits in English and Mathematics
• Prior experience with Students with Mid Intellectual Disabilities (MID) is preferred
• Specific subject knowledge, knowledge in special needs education and behaviour modification, Microsoft office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
• Interpersonal skills, classroom management skills, takes Initiative, effective communication Strong in verbal and written English
• Prior experience handling Numeracy/ Literacy, WPLN, Science, HSR, SEL/ CCE and Vocational Guidance is an added advantage.
