ERM Malaysia is looking to add an Environmental Air and Noise Consultant to the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical assistance and support to ERM Kuala Lumpur team in environmental technical due diligence projects.
- Assess environmental air quality / noise impact, local regulatory compliance and perform regulatory applicability evaluations for technical due diligence projects.
- Assist clients in liaison with Authority Have Jurisdictions (AHJs) relates to technical inquiries environmental air quality and noise.
- Assist in quantifying air pollutant emissions and impacts.
- Evaluate air pollution control technologies, including technical and economic feasibility of air pollution control equipment.
- Prepare recommendations and reporting of results.
- Perform multiple tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
- Interact and maintain successful relationships with clients, ERM employees, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with other ERM subject matter experts (SMEs) to execute due diligence, impact assessment and risk assessment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in environmental science / environmental engineering or equivalent.
- At least 4-6 years of direct consulting or industry experience involving environmental permitting and compliance. Experience with environmental air and noise modelling is a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding local regulatory requirement in environmental air and noise emission.
- Strong hands-on spreadsheet and database comprehension.
- Fluent in English and Malay; capable of excellent report writing in English.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
- Strong team and communication skills.
