Job Description

Security Engineer's role is to support the product team in performing product/solution installation, testing, documentation, and support.

Responsibility:

• Provide technical consulting, implementation, support and service delivery to our customers on Identity Access Management (IAM) and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
• Perform system installation, implementation & upgrade services of IAM/SSO solutions.
• Involve in full cycle of project implementation activities - business requirement information gathering, prepare & finalize solution design, solution implementation & development, SIT/UAT, prepare system documentation & production cutover and system go live.
• Involve in post-implementation production support/ad hoc to ensure all the problems/issue solved within the target SLA.
• Monitor and analyze project risk and provide status update report to customer.
• Support pre-sales consulting activities; eg: product presentation, demo and POC.
• Conduct technical training to customers on IAM/SSO solution. 
   

Required Skills

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science/Information Technology, Science & Technology or equivalent.

About the team

The role

Works closely with and under the guidance of the Software Engineering Manager, the role will be responsible to deliver product enhancements, and improvements as well as addressing issues.

You will involve in analysing and building a technical understanding of GBG Fraud products. A key part of the role will be ensuring our projects are delivered to high standards of innovation, quality, and excellence as well as on time and budget.

What you will do

As part of an Agile development team:

• Be part of next-gen product teams here in Kuala Lumpur, building up knowledge and technical capability to deliver features in line with the overall technical and product strategy.
• Guide junior software engineers to be technically capable of delivering features in line with the overall technical and product strategy.
• Deliver product enhancements according to the requirements and take part in new developments.
• Design, Code, Automate, and refactor codes, programs, scripts, and other software services.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and provide solutions to problems with newly developed software.
• Work with the Software Engineering Manager, Product Owner, and Scrum Team to build the technology design to deliver new features or enhancements which will include writing detailed technical requirements, user story planning, and so on.
• Participation in iterative agile approaches to software development.

Technical Skills

• Expert knowledge and experience with Java

• Experience with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL Database applications (Database design would be an advantage)
• Experience with No SQL Database technology such as Redis (preferred) or Data Analytic Database such as Druid
• Good exposure and knowledge of Open-Source Technologies and solutions such as Kafka, Flink or Akka, Spark, Prometheus, Graffana, etc
• Knowledge of Lambda and real-time streaming processing architecture
• CI/CD, cloud and containers knowledge (Terraform, Kubernetes, Dockers, HelmChart etc.) would be an advantage
• Experience with Angular, graph databases such as Janus or Neo4j algorithms and UX/UI design principles would be an advantage
