Ideally qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline. (Level CIPD 3 in L&D, HR is preferred)

Good understanding of Apprentice Programmes and Processes.
Awareness of health, safety, and environmental issues relevant to the area of responsibility.

The role would be a combination of supporting small class sizes of 6 - 9 children and 1:1 work, therefore being flexible and active is key. The school offers a bespoke pathway curriculum, with a wide range of expressive arts, physical education and outdoor opportunities designed to help pupils develop new skills and interests, including in house Art Therapy!

The school's hours for this role are 8:30am – 03:30pm.
What you'll need to succeed
Have experience or a passion for working with children with SEN
Be flexible, proactive and patient
Be nurturing and caring in your approaches
Be able to communicate effectively within a team
Be open to providing personal care
Have a Background in Education, Care, social care, Psychology or Drama, as these are very transferable.
Training or experience in non-verbal communication is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential. For example Makaton, PECS
