JOB SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Customer service according to procedures and standards
• Assist and ensure a smooth daily service operation (opening and closing of outlet, taking orders, table setting, cleaning outlet etc.)
• Ensure that all pre-opening duties are completed on daily basis
• Basic cashiering duties
• Provide service according to procedures and standards established by the F&B department
• Handle the beverages
• Familiar with all items on the menu and have knowledge of all recipes, drink lists, wine lists and methods of preparation and preparation time
• Recommend and promote all items on the menu or specials to guests
• Take daily inventory including for bar and report any loss or damage
• Handle guest complaints and feedback effectively and communicate to the immediate supervisor for follow-up
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, appearance and deportment at all times
• Clean up section area after service and maintain cleanliness of the area
• Coordinate with the stewards, kitchen staff and bar staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction
• Help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and completing financial transactions
• Maintain the table culture and restaurant ambience at all times
• Perform other related duties as required by outlet manager

Requirements:

• Prior F&B Experience preferred
• Able to start work at short notice
• Personable, charming and outgoing personality, with a strong service-attitude

Vegetarian Restaurant Service Crew

Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers as they come into the restaurant.
• Process customer's orders and generate customer invoices
• Complete daily settlement of POS systems
• Provide answers to queries presented to clients regarding services and offers made available.
• Respond to customer complaints and questions, resolving issues where possible.
• Keep work areas, such as food preparation areas, and customer areas clean and organized.
• Stock work and customer areas with needed supplies, such as napkins, condiments, and cleaning supplies, and order from suppliers when inventory is low.
• Greet, and answer phone calls from customers.
• Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

About Your Role

Responsibilities

• Brew and serve speciality coffee, tea and other beverages that meet quality standards
• Proper maintenance and care for all coffee equipment – includes thorough daily cleaning, after peak hours, as well as maintaining a clean work area throughout the day
• Prepare healthy-ish snacks, desserts and other light fare, including prepping and slicing ingredients, preparing and cooking/reheating bakery items, and plating for customer consumption.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings and knowledge about our offerings and store promotions.
• Deliver excellent customer service through communication, positive attitude, and connecting with customers.
• Serve customers quickly and efficiently
• Properly handle and maintain all equipment
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure café has an adequate supply
• Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
• Clean the inside and outside of café areas, ensuring they are safe and hygienic at all times.
• Observe relevant health and safety standards

Job Requirements

• Barista training and experience is a big plus, but we are open to providing training
• Food Hygiene certificate is preferred but not necessary
• Responsible, positive energy, able to work independently and in a team with a good learning attitude
• Availability to work shifts, weekends and holidays
• Able to commit to a minimum of 50 hours per month
• Able to commit to at least 3 months
