Job Summary

Development and execution of the project cost estimation, cost plan, monitor costs and collects cost data to ensure conformity with management's budget directives, cost tracking, forecasting and reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support or lead in cost estimation for projects at various stages of the project development like FS, FEED and EPC.

• Oversee Staff and manage the accounting function for smaller clients. 
• Complete account reconciliations (i.e. bank & credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals).
• Complete complex account reconciliations (investments, debt, industry specific, etc.).
• Prepare, understand and review financial statements (basic to complex).
• Perform the review of clients’ General Ledger, cashflow, allocations, etc.
• Learn and understand the business/organization operations of the client.
• Create process and procedure documentation.
• Perform other quarterly/annual processes, such as completion of sales tax returns, Form 1099s, audit workpapers, and other forms or items as requested by clients.
• Assist in Special Projects, such as internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consulting projects.

What you will need:

• Two to three years of relative work experience as Staff Accountant or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field OR associate degree in accounting or related field plus 5 years of accounting experience OR Associates in unrelated field plus Accounting Certificate plus 5 years of accounting experience.
• Technical knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Intacct, Xero, Bill.com, Expensify) and other applicable software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Experience reviewing and preparing financial statements.
• Public Accounting experience preferred.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.

New York City Posting Range: $77,000 - $109,000.  Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
