Overall Duties
Reporting to the Head of World Tour, the Tournament Manager will be responsible for the effective implementation of the BWF host agreements with each Member Association hosting a BWF World Tour event.
In particular, the Tournament Manager will ensure the effective implementation of the BWF commercial and media rights agreements with the host, provide support to the Technical Officials (BWF Referee, Umpires and Line Judges) at the tournament and work alongside the BWF marketing & communications team when they are present at the tournament.

1. Relevant formal qualifications – a degree in events management / marketing / sports administration degree or similar.
2. Experience in administration roles.
3. Has worked on projects in previous employment, preferably in badminton or another sport.

1. Strong people / interpersonal skills;
2. Excellent English written and spoken language skills;
3. Knowledge and understanding of badminton would be an advantage for this role;
4. Understanding of the events/commercial/technical areas, sports industry and the role of an international federation / world body in the structure of an Olympic/Paralympic Games sport;
5. Demonstrate ability to problem solve.
Remuneration
To be negotiated with the successful candidate depending on qualifications and experience. An expected remuneration should be stated in the application.
Contract
A contract period will be offered to the successful candidate. Length of the contract to be discussed.
Performance appraisals, against mutually agreed performance objectives will be a regular part of employment.
Hours of Work
The position is contracted and full time. The nature of the work sometimes requires flexibility during busy periods particularly in the lead up to a tournament and/or including working on weekends, and during BWF Council, Events Committee and related meetings.
The position requires travel overseas inclusive of weekends but no time in lieu arrangement exist for additional hours worked and travel on weekends.
The remuneration package will reflect experience, extent of the role, level of responsibilities and the work requirements needed.
